Trip Report for HH 5/26 to 5/30 & News

Hi,

Got home close to 4 p.m. today & it rained. We had beautiful not too warm weather all 5 days. Mom & I mainly relaxed: Read, watched movies, took walks (saw a few cute Marsh Bunnies) went to the beach house once, hung out with a friend from school (Who is down there until Friday!) We unfortunately don't have pics. Camera batt died!!! Oh well it will be there on our return in May 06'

At least 3 welcome homes on arrival! Cast members were great!!!!!!!! Can't stress that enough. They were full through the weekend. It didn't feel like it. Room 1211, One bedroom, NS,HA! Perfect no complaints & we've had the room before!!!

Food:
Arrival Scott's Fish Market/dinner. Not Impressed. Food was just okay. IMO, People were there to drink & listen to music. And it was our most expensive meal during the trip C
Breakfast twice & Dinner once: Crakeral Barrell A++ Always good.
PJ's Deli: Dinner AWESOME & @ a good price! A+++ Will go again
Home cooked Spegetti dinner in room with Chichen Wings from Gissesppi's A+
Our Treasure of the trip:The Yummy House Chinses & Japanese Food. A hole in the wall but the best chinese food we've had in awhile!!! A+++ Please refer to restruant guide for details!

News:
DON'T SHOOT ME! I heard this from a very nice manager! March 2006 is already SOLD OUT!! Good luck with the 7 month waitlists!!!!

My current trip news: I called today for a extra day in June @ SSR & got it (6/19.) Had to burrow but figure it's worth it. On a bad note, couldn't get through to MS on the 1800 #. Called the 407 #! Had to do this the last few times. Just a little vent! This means we will have Sunday late afternoon/evening, all day Monday, Tues is mostly shot because of the 7 hour interview & all of Wednesday.

Still going to OKW for grad trip (3 days) but in a studio & 4 nights @ HH in 1 bedroom. We like HH so much but have also decided that 5 nights is enough maybe 6. Any thoughts or ?!!!

Glad you had a good trip. Those welcome homes are kinda nice, aren't they? And that's exactly what I feel like as soon as I arrive on property, wherever I'm staying. When we arrived at the BCV last week, we received our welcome home from the gate attendant, and my son says "they always say that!" Can't wait for our November trip. Have fun at Saratoga!

Glad you had a nice time. Any time at HH is great! I kind of hope that what you heard about March 2006 is correct (and I'll probably be the only one to say that). We just had to cancel our planned trip to HH next March (hadn't reserved yet, though) and I was very sad about that (Darn DS chose to get married that week). Now I can think we might not have gotten reservations anyways. Oh, well-hopefully we'll get there next Thanksgiving. Any word on a new naturalist?

I couldn't agree more about the cast members!! They are awesome there at HH. I'm still working on my trip report

I would be amazed if someone had a negative report from HH.

Glad you had a great trip, Allison. I, for one, hope the CM wasn't totally accurate because we are hoping for a larger unit the last full week of March I guess we will need some waitlist luck

We too, were among those hoping to get into HH for March '06, but in the end we decided on another cruise. I love snorkleing in Cozumel, and it looks like we made the right choice.

Glad to hear that you were able to get another night at SSR. I was on the phone yesterday around 11, trying to get another studio for our Sept.30th trip. The wait time was "up to 15 minutes" on the 800 #, I just put the phone on speaker, came over to the DIS for the wait, and it didn't seem that long !

I wonder if the manger was refering to a specific room type being sold out?? Maybe I just lucked out and snagged the last one . I was glad I did not have to waitlist for a room as we are on several waitlists already!!

He didn't say a specific room was sold out just that March was sold out. They can see members ressies ahead of time. Good luck!!!
