Day 3
The third day of our vacation saw us heading to MGM via the walkway from EPCOT to MGM rather then the bus or boat. We quickly headed into the park and straight for the Tower of Terror and from there to Rock n Roller Coaster (twice) and then back to the Tower of Terror again. Those four rides took less then an hour do to, I love January at WDW.
We quickly moved onto the Back Lot Tour, the Muppets 3-D and a bit of shopping before heading to the 50s Prime Time Diner. This was the first time any of us had eaten there so we were a little hesitant about what to expect but were quickly set at ease by a fun filled wait staff of some family members I somehow dont remember seeing at any family reunions. Of course we did have a visit from Mama because Clarke didnt eat all of his green beans.
We moved from there to the Animal Kingdom which was enjoyable as always even if we didnt get a chance to have any BBQ because we were to stuffed from lunch and didnt want to ruin out appetite for dinner at Jikos.
Rather then head straight over to our PS for 8:45PM at Jikos we headed back to our rooms around 6PM to freshen up and then hopped a taxi to the Animal Kingdom Lodge rather then dealing with any bus transfers. The ride only cost $12 with tip, this was the first time I have cabbed it around WDW but I think that will quickly become a favored mode of transportation when skipping to hotels for evening meals from now on.
After taking up more time then we should have at our wonderful waiters table (I dont think it really mattered because we were the last 6+ group to be seated for the night) and having way to much wine with our fantastic meal we all agreed that so far Jikos had provided us with the best meal over all of any restaurant at WDW to date. Personally I had to resend the best meal ever about 3 AM when I woke up with some wicked heart burn and the taste of what was a great meal the first time on the end of my tongue. A quick rummage thru our over packed medicine bag unearthed my old friend Tagament and 30 minutes later I was once again asleep dreaming of our next day at Disney.
