Got up and had breakfast. Another lovely day, yipeeee!!!!!:thumbsup2

Everyone still seems to be pilling into the main park, great news, as we are going to the studios today. Just through the gates we saw Pluto, Minnie and Goofy, virtually no people around them. It was brilliant. My children loved Minnie and she had a lot of time with them as there were not hoards of people around. She kept on stroking them and loving them. Goofy looked different in his flash outfit, this was good for pictures as it was a bit different. :yay:

Firstly we went to Art of Animation, Flying Carpets, Monsters Inc photo set, after that we saw Sulley, Jafar, Chicken Little, Woody and Jessie. Sulley and Jessie were playing chase me which was quite funny to see.:sulley:

Then we went on the Studio Tram tour which had a 30 minute wait. The children were fascinated at seeing different props and cars from various films. They really enjoyed it and loves seeing the costumes from Narnia. After here we went to see Mickey Mouse at Mickeys trailer and we only queued for less than five minutes for our picture (big difference from the main park which had people had told us they had queued for over an hour). Then we saw Stitch, Chip and Dale and Cruella de Vil at a meet and greet by Mickeys trailer. Stitch was lovely, I could have took him home with me. Cruella was indeed a man in drag!!!!!! We then went on to various photo locations where the umbrella is outside the shop and the Narnia chair by Rock n Rollercoaster. We then done Armaggedon. :thumbsup2

We watched the parade at 1.30 pm. Firstly was Chicken Little, then Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse, Tinkerbell, Pinnochio, Lion King, Cruella de Vil and dalmatians, Mary Poppins, Toy Story and Mickey Mouse at the end. I thought this parade was very good especially when it stopped. When the parade stopped all the characterws got off their floats and came over to us, we were in between Pinnochios and the Lion Kings float so we got attention of both of them. I think Pinnochios father took a bit of a shine to me as he kept on kissing my face and hands and when the parade was re-started he was blowing kisses and waving to me. He came back down again and kissed me again. A lady said to be "I like your new man". I said it would be better if the character was someone like Mr Incredible or The Genie from Aladdin. We had a good laugh about it. When the parade had finished we had our lunch in Backlot Express.

We then done Cinemagique which I thought was absolutely brilliant, do not miss it as I think it is very cleverly done. My mum also enjoyed this and the children thought it was very funny. I wont spoil it for anyone who has not done it and write down what happens but it is excellent. We done some shopping and then we saw the Incredibles at a meet and greet. We then wanted to see what our photos would be like with Mickey so went to the shop to see them. Great stuff, outside was a cadillac with Donald Duck. The children joined the queue of four people. Just before our children went to have their photograph taken Donald changed to Daisy, a few groans were heard behind my children but my girls were really pleased they love Daisy.

We done the stunt show and then decided to go to animagique before doing a spot of shopping. The show started off lovely all dark and illuminous colours and then all of a sudden they told us that they were sorry but they could not continue with the performance. When we were outside a lady and her family were telling my mum that a lady in front was videoing the show and she was told to stop but she didnt. So they cancelled the show. So one person spoiled everyones fun, there were small children crying because they were looking forward to it and it was the last show of the day. I just thought it was a good job the lady videoing was not anywhere near me because I may have slipped out some harsh words as if you are personally told then you must abide by the rules.

The children then wanted to do some shopping and boy did they shop. They ended up both buying the pin badge set which has the overhead strap with it. We bought them some extra pins to do on it. The usual Mickey and Minnie Mouse cuddly toys and some nice cars and trains with Mickey and Stitch in for Ben.::MinnieMo

It was then 6.00pm, the main park was open until 9 pm so the decision was either to enter the main park now or to go back to the hotel. A group decision was made to go back to the hotel as we still had two full days left for the park and we had not seen much of the hotel.

We got a shuttle bus straight away and in 10 minutes we were back at the Explorers Hotel. The children enjoyed playing in the indoor play area which was free (I thought it was an extra charge). Here are a lot of seats which are by the indoor swimming pool and a play area in the form of a ship which had dozens of little Jack Sparrows running around.

At 8.00 pm we went upstairs onto the balcony overlooking the swimming pool and as luck would have it it was happy hour in the bar on this level until 9.00 pm. The children then saw the shop and enjoyed spending more money on some more pins, cups and pens and drawing books. We ended up going back to our room at 10.30 pm and we all crashed the minute our pj's were on.

Highs of the day - so many characters we had not seen before. Plus my childrens faces on the tram tour when they come to the lorry!!!! Ha!!! For me, I would say I enjoyed cinemagique for being so cleverly made!!! The children did like the flying carpets and we had at least four goes on this. They were not too fused on Armaggedon.

Lows of the day - the silly videoing woman, she must have been so shocked and embarrased really when the whole cinema got emptied because she could not put her camera away!!!

Hope you enjoyed our day 3

Great report :)
The kids met loads of characters, they must have had huge smiles on their faces.
Cinemagique is brillant not to be missed but I can't beleive that woman with her video camera caused Animagique to be stopped  How inconsiderate of her   I hope all those children crying made her feel really really bad.

Looking forward to your next report.

I'm so sorry Animagique was ruined for you by that silly woman - could they not just have removed her from the auditorium, how dreadful that a whole show should be cancelled because of 1 person:mad:

Totally agree about the characters, they seem to be so much easier to catch in WDS and there is a fab variety of the most recent film characters.:thumbsup2

You sound as though all-in-all you had a very enjoyable day in the park:goodvibes

I agree with Jill why did security not remove her and eject her from the park. That would have sorted it :thumbsup2

Sound like you had a great Studios day :)

Apparently this has been happening a lot lately that people have been videoing the shows. So that is why Disney are clamping down and stopping the whole show as to let the word out that do it and you will be punished. We met a lovely family and it happened to them the same day at the Lion King Show. Her children were distraught she said and she had to make it up to them by buying them a cuddly toy each.

I just hope it happens to no-one else on this forum but at least you know what NOT to do before you go ----- dont video or you will have a lot of angry looking people following you!!!!

We love the studios for character interaction.:goodvibes

Sorry abot Animagique. I think they should hav stopped it until she was removed and then allowed everyone else to stay

My feeling is that for many it's a once in a lifetime thing and they may not get the opportunity to see WDS or that show in particular again. I think DLRP need to have a rethink on their policy over this sort of thing, but they also need to toughen up, if cameras, video cameras aren't allowed then they've got to enforce the rule on every ride/attraction.
This may mean paying higher wages to older/more experienced CM's but then so be it.
I don't think we should all suffer because of the likes of the ignorant few. I've seen the shows over and over but I still wouldn't be happy if this happened to my family. :sad2:

another great day - i can't believe that silly woman in animagique, i really can't abide ignorance like this, especially in disneyland :(

i totally agree with you, cinemagique is one of my favourites, it's so cleverly done, and at the gone with the wind scene i always get a lump in my throat!!

your hotel sounds really lovely, how many people could your room hold?

Our room was indeed lovely and spacious. We had a double bed and two single beds. We also had an adjoining room with bunk beds in. We could have had six in our room comfortably. I believe that there are rooms that hold up to 10 people!!! It was reasonable too, especially as we had a free shuttle bus to the resort too, I think during our five night stay it worked out at £85 for the room each night and bed and breakfast for all of us (equivalent to £17 per person per night). I think thats brilliant.

The show was cancelled when we were there last summer just the same way Iwonder if it was for the same reason.although a few years ago I did record the whole show and nothing was said as everyone was doing it ,i guess disney is getting tough ,but its not fair to empty the whole theatre.
