Trip report Cabin/Golf Cart

We just returned home to chilly PA after 33 nights in a cabin at the Fort. This is a quick TR. We had a great time as usual. For five years, we stayed in our Pop-up for a month or so during Jan/Feb. This is our third year in a cabin. We found that we were just too old not to have a real bathroom and real heat. It costs more ($178/night with AP discount), but we don't have any investment tied up in an RV or TT. Also, we have a real kitchen. The Grandkids and their parents come to visit for a week each and we find that the cabin is adequate for 4 adults and 2 kids. We take the murphy bed and they get the bedroom. We ask for a cabin in the beginning of the 2500 loop so that we are near the Wilderness Pool. That also gives us an emergency bathroom if we need it. We get all that the Fort has to offer and we live in "luxury".

We arrived on Jan 4. We were happy to see all of the Christmas decorations at the Fort and the Parks. We never saw them before.

We were there for the unveiling of the new Memories show before "Wishes". We saw it a couple of times. It is awsome.

For the 4th time, we had a golf cart from Steve Senesi at Golf and Electric Vehicles (407-947-2013). It was $479.25 for the month including delivery and taxes. He does not require a deposit when you make you reservation, but he does not take credit cards. You must pay with cash or check. He drives the cart to your cabin/site and picks it up the same way.

I think we were right across from you in 2507 from Jan 17 to Jan 31 we sure like that location. Cabins 2501 to 2510 have the best mousekeeper ( Isabel )in all of Disney World, we had her last year and couldn't wait to get back. Her towel animals brought smiles to our faces every day she was working. We sure hope her husband came through his last operation to close that incision. If you know please let me know.
I forget our green Mickey sign this time, so I had to make do with my pine cone Mickey. We were the two senior citizens by themselves in a cabin which is the only place we will stay at WDW.
I hope your trip was as wonderful as ours.

We were in 2506. We actually asked for a cabin in that area so that we could have Isabel again this year. The kids love her handiwork. She even made a towel birthday cake for our daughter's 40th birthday. Her husband was having some more tests on Monday. That was the day we left.

We love towel animals. Did you take any pictures? We had a Mousekeeper at CR that made us some every day. We made a display in our 2 windows (corner room), by the end of the trip we had people coming by every day to see the new ones. So neat !

33 nights in a cabin WOW, oh by the way are you looking for any more kids I am availabl for rent or adoption just as long as you take me next time you go to the Fort.

Unfortunately, we are already booked for next year and the year after.

Actually, we stayed a little longer than normal this year since my daughter ran in the 1/2 marathon. Usually, we stay for 4 weeks beginning in mid Jan. Our stay in the cabin balances out the five years that we stayed for a month in our pop-up. We are older now and there are more grandkids to accomodate.
