Hi everyone!
First of all, I am sorry I did not post the second report sooner but we were having so much fun I never got back on the computer. Second, our trip change near the end because DH decided he was having so much fun at WDW he wanted to stay there the last 3 days instead of going to VB. I was able to change the reservation at the last minute and we stayed in the same two bedroom unit at BWV the whole time. I will try to make this as painless as possible but here goes. Recap: group consist of me LeiLani (39), DH Rich (41), DD Brittany (13), DD Alyssa (7), and DD's friend Lauren (15).
Friday 6/6
I had picked DH (Rich) up at the airport on Thursday evening so he had joined the group now. We went to Epcot today and had a really good time. It did not seem overly crowded so it was really nice. We went into the park about 9:30 and the first thing we rode was Test Track. Fastpass was handing out a time from 12:30-1:30(which was during our lunch time) so we decided to do standby. It said the standby line was a wait of 50 minutes but we only waited 15 minutes. We even got Alyssa (7 yo) to ride. We had a great lunch at Garden Grill and Rich left at 12:30 to go play golf. The two older girls wanted to go off on their own so Alyssa & I decided to do the World. She did the mask at the Kidcot stations and we had a lot of fun. We got held up by rain in the United Kingdom (with only one country left to do) for about 45 min but then we got it all done. We headed back to the room after this because we had e-ride tickets. Rich got rained out after 9 holes so he came back also. We had set up a sitter from Kids Night Out for Alyssa and she came at 5pm. I would recommend them to anyone if you are looking for a sitter. The four of us headed into the MK for e-ride night. We had a blast and stayed the whole 3 hours.
Saturday 6/7
Blizzard Beach
It was Rich's first time at Blizzard Beach and we had a really good time. This park seemed a little more crowded then the others but that could have been because it was a Saturday. The storm did not move in until about 2:30 and we were going to leave at 3 anyways so we did not get rained out. Rich, Britt, and Lauren all went to ride the boats at WL while Alyssa and I went to the room and got ready for dinner. We went to dinner at O'hana and it was great like it usually is.
Sunday 6/8
MGM Studios
It was Star Wars weekend and this was what Alyssa had been waiting for. She really likes Star Wars and is a big Queen Amidala fan. She got her face painted like Queen Amidala and then actually got a picture with her. It was pretty neat. The park was a little more crowded because of SW weekend but the rides were not too bad. We had lunch at 50's Prime Time Diner which we love and our waiter was really good. He joked with the older girls a lot and even had Lauren stand in the corner when she did not eat all of her veggies. When she would not keep her nose to the wall he made her hold a sugar packet on the wall with her nose. It was too funny and made a great picture to give to her Mom. Rich left again to play golf and he got 18 holes in this time.
Monday 6/9
MK
We had friends who joined us over the weekend and we all went to the MK. The park seemed a little more crowed today and we figured more people had gotten out of school and started their vacations. We did the illuminations cruise and it was fantastic. We will do this again. The only thing we would do different is the food. We did the food package this time, but I do not think it is worth what you pay for it. The cruise itself was great.
Tuesday 6/10
Down Day
Rich played golf again. Lauren had gotten home sick so her parents had decided to fly her home. The girls and I took her to the airport then we went to the mall. Because Britt did not have anyone to stay with we decided to take her to dinner with us on Wednesday at Victoria and Albert's. So, she needed a dress. When Rich got done with golf, we went swimming for a while and just took it easy. That night we put Alyssa in the Sandcastle Club and the 3 of us went to California Grill for dinner. We had a very nice dinner and Alyssa had fun in the kids club.
Wednesday 6/11
Down Day
This was the day we decided to change our plans. Rich went golfing and when he returned we walked over to Beaches and Cream to have a snack. Rich wanted to stay at WDW so I called DVC and was able to change our plans. We went to DTD for a little shopping and then came back to the room to swim for a little while. That night we put Alyssa and our friends kids in the Neverland Club and we all went to Victoria and Albert's for dinner. It was a great experience for Britt. Even though she has eaten in nice restaurants before she has never been to a place like this. She was amazed that every time she got up to go to restroom (which she did like 3 times) they gave her a new napkin and the head waiter came back to pull out her chair. The dinner was fabulous and I love the way they brew their coffee. I want one of those coffee pots but at $300 it was a little to steep for me. We had a really nice evening and the kids loved the Neverland Club.
Thursday 6/12
Since this was the day we were supposed to leave we decided to take it easy again today and figure out what we wanted to do the next 3 days. We went to Cape May Cafe for breakfast with our friends and then they headed out. We went to DTD again and did some looking around and then decided to catch Bruce Almighty. It was a pretty good movie. We went back to the hotel and swam for a while then we got ready for dinner. We put Alyssa in the Neverland Club again and Rich, Britt and I went to Narcoosee's for dinner. This was the first time we had been there and it was really good with a great view of the MK.
Friday 6/13
Epcot
We decided to do Epcot again. It was unbelieveable, there was hardly anyone in the park. We got a fastpass for Test Track but we walked on to several other rides without any wait. Rich left for golf after lunch and the girls and I did the world again. This time we did both the mask and the passports. We had never done the passports before, so it was really neat and makes a great keepsake. That evening we decided to go back into Epcot and try to eat in all the countries. We rode the boat rides in Mexico and Norway and then we ate in all the countries that had counter service. At each place we would get something to split between us all. It was a lot of fun and by the time we were done we were so full. We started walking out just as illuminations was going off.
Saturday 6/14
We had breakfast at Spoodles and then we did some packing. We went to ride the boats at WL again but Alyssa doesn't really like these. That afternoon we went back to MGM. We had never seen Fantasmic so we decided to do the dinner package. Even though we were there in the afternoon it did not seem really crowded. We ate at Hollywood and Vine and then went to Fantasmic which was awesome!
We dropped DH off at the airport on Sunday and the girls and I started the long trip home. Even though we were at WDW for 13 days and had a blast, it sure seemed to go by fast. It is hard to believe it is all over. Now I will just have to start planning the next trip.
Sorry this was so long. If anyone has any questions about anything feel free to ask.
