Trip Report - avid WDW-goer tries Aulani

I read that HNL has TSA Pre-Check lines. Has anyone seen/used these to confirm? We are flying American, so I wonder if the Pre check line is anywhere near where AA departs?
We used the TSA Pre-check line at HNL last month. We flew on United Airlines, but if United has it than I would assume American Airlines has it as well.

Used Pre Check two weeks ago with American Airlines.

We left on a Friday late morning 3/18 and the TSA lines were surprising longer than we expected, but with PreCheck, it took fifteen minutes to clear.

Thank you both for your information on TSA Precheck. I would have expected a faster moving Precheck line, so it is good to know that we need to bake-in more time to clear security than we are used to, when using TSA pre-check here in Dallas. Still sounds like it will shave some time off the wait in the regular line!

Thanks for the report...great information! We were there three years ago and are going back in early May. We are going to Maui for four days and then Aulani for 12 days. Can't wait! We are also flying Westjet...but from Nova Scotia. Between the 7 hour time difference and the travel time, it will be almost 24 hours to get there. That is why we are staying for that length of time. We won't go often but it isn't worth it for us for a shorter time.

That IS a long trip. I understand why you're going for so long. Haven't been to Maui, heard it is great there. But my old boss owns a condo there so I might try that out next time as well (if the kids will let us skip some Disney madness). Have a great time!

Re: WestJet. Download the WestJet app at home before you arrive at the airport. Streaming movies/tv on the flights through the app is great. But I could only download the app on my phone on the tarmac using data (no wi-fi). Couldn't download app on the kids' ipads that are wi-fi only. So any devices you're bringing with you and want to have the WestJet content (free streaming movies), I'd suggest downloading the app before you head off for the airport.

YUP-this is good advice gang, same thing goes for United and Air Canada

Looks like you had a fabulous time. Thanks for sharing, great pictures.

A note about the precheck--we were TSA pre-check qualified, but the line was not open when we arrived at the airport (it opens later in the morning), so we ended up in the line with the "premier" passengers, which was actually longer than the main line and did not save any time at all. So whether or not the precheck will help you depends on when you arrive at the airport.

Thanks for the Westjet info! I will be sure to download before I leave home!

Thanks for the warning. Our departing flight leaves at 530pm, so I sure hope pre-check is open! Fingers crossed!
