Day 3 (9/10/04)

Zoe woke up at 7:15 a.m. and proceeded to wake the rest of us. We drove to Animal Kingdom and got into the park around 9 a.m. We headed back to the Safari and rode with no wait. In fact we walked right on. After that we went to Dinoland for Triceratops Spin and Dinosaur (The three girls stayed off of Dinosaur) We had an early lunch at Flame Tree BBQ which was great and then saw Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore before going to the Festival of the Lion King. I really wish that Disney would manage to do something about the foor traffic in Camp Minnie Mickey. It was horrific.

Anyway, we left AK to go back to the hotel for a quick refresher. Then we headed over to MGM Studios. Got there at 2:00 p.m. Greeted Mulan, Snow White and a Penguin at the entrance. We saw the Beauty and the Beast show after a quick stop for Rock and Roller Coaster. After Beauty we were going to see the Voyage of the Little Mermaid but it was too close to parade time. We stopped by to see Mickey and then Amanda wanted to see the parade. Mulan was in the parade and remembered the girls from earlier.

Then we ran over to the Mermaid and Michelle and Amanda saw the show but Zoe wanted ice cream so we started the search for a Mickey bar. After the Mermaid we went to the Honey I Shrunk the Audience playground. Then we saw Playhouse Disney and stopped for supper at the ABC commissary before seeing MuppetVision 3d.

By now it was about 8 p.m. and we headed back to POP for bedtime.

We noticed an increase in activity at the hotel and found out that most of Florida is checking in for the weekend with the rest of the state coming by Monday. Good old IVAN is not going to be outdone by Francis.

I went ahead and called Delta to change out flight to Monday morning. We were going to head to the East Coast of Florida but things just aren’t working out. We’ll have only 6 days of an 11 day vacation but we can go home in one piece.

Tomorrow is an off park day.

Hi
Love your trip report! I am a mother of 3 year old twin girls too so really enjoyed reading your report! We have two older children as well (10 and 12) so Dad and I may end up splitting up while at Disney so that the kids can do the more age specific rides.
Your trip sounds so casual in that you were flexible about where to go etc. We are only at Disney for 2 full days and 1 1/2 day so it was nice to hear that you hit two parks a day with the young ladies without any problems. It sounded very manageable. I was wondering if you had made PS's before hand for your meals. If not how long did you wait to be seated? Would you recommend PS's. I feel like I have spent half my life on the phone with Disney trying to get PS's for Cinderella's Breakfast (I have one princess lover too (and one Animal lover) with NO LUCK what so ever!
Thanks for any tips you may have.
