Arrived Friday the 8th from Nashville about 12:30 took Mears to HRH, about an hour and 15 minutes from the time we checked in at mears kiosk ,we checked in HRH about 2:00, it was raining so we went down to the kitchen and had some lunch, very good food at the kitchen, went to IOA directly to Harry potter was not as crowded as I figured I guess the rain helped because for the rest of the trip it was to crowded to do anything, 30 minute wait so we figured that would be the best time to go in regular line and see all the great themes and it was amazing, the ride was also amazing, after having the spiderman ride as my favorite in any park FJ may have over taken it, if not it is a very close second. Spent the rest of the day working our way around IOA skipping the water rides, went on spiderman 3 straight times and the hulk twice, and let me say at this time if you can afford to stay on site and use front of the line access it is worth every penny. Went to Universal about 6.00 tried to ride rip ride rocket but it was down, a very common theme for the weekend ,it took until Sunday before we finally caught it running and it broke down twice while we were in line a 30 minute wait took over an hour, but worth the wait, a very nice coaster, finished the night eating at pat O'briens nice dinner on patio listening to a very good singer.

Saturday overslept did not leave for park until 7:15 got in line for olivanders at 7:30 already a 30 minute wait,it was cute but I would skip unless you have small children, for those that don't know it is a quick show where a wand is giving to one of the children in the room, the room only holds 30 at a time so the line is slow, rode FJ twice no wait in single rider line and went to 3 broomsticks for breakfast, food was fine decor was very cool, the whole area is very cool the buildings seem to have a slight lean toward each other gives it a very enclosed feel, like you are not in a theme park you feel this is actually in another place and time.

Left Harry potter and went to Posidens adventure and back to spiderman and the hulk, then made our way back to universal and rode everything in order including shows, jimmy neutron was ok, sherk 4d was fun, twister is to dated, rode mummys revenge, fun but hurt my back so I skipped the rest of the trip, but my wife enjoyed it every time we went by it. I really enjoyed disaster the show part is fun and the movie the put together in the end is funny, jaws is ok, I love MIB a lot of fun, and so is the simpsons, T2 needs replacing was cool 10 years ago, but very dated now, seems to be a lot of empty large buildings in the middle of the park, I watched the Blues brothers show every day, love it, The et ride is like twister and t2 needs replacing with something more up to date, enjoyed the horror make up show and watched the globe show in the lagoon at closing it was nice.

Basically we got up every morning for HP rode FJ and left, we went back sunday night to see it with with the lights on, very nice, but even at 9:00pm, an 80 minute wait for fj insane, and we never saw the lines any shorter accept at the early admission, we could sit and watch at 7:45 they let in everybody in, a wall of people run through suess land headed to hp, it was crazy.

We enjoyed Matt Hoffmans show, loved Margaritaville food was great every time, as far as HRH I love this place 5 minute walk to park, great staff, pool, food service, we had a pool view and when we got to our room we did not hear a sound from other guest at ANY time, the quietest room we have ever had.

our last day we decided to look at the other 2 resorts on site we have only stayed at HRH back in 2000 and this trip, the Portofino is beautiful but seemed a little to far away to walk I noticed the water taxis seem like a longer wait and always full but the resort is huge and spread out, great pool, loved the small lagoon with all the shops all around it. We took water taxi over to royal pacific seemed more busy and crowded than HRH and PB once again great pool and nice theme but for my money the HRH being closer is worth a little more. We rode our favorite rides one last time ate an early dinner at Jimmy Buffets again (I love this place) went back to HRH, where we had already checked out earlier that day, but they said we could shower at locker room before we flew out, the locker room has all you need , in the mens locker room steam shower, regular showers everything you need to freshen up soap, shampoo, deo, towels shaving cream, razors, mouth wash it was great being able to shower and change clothes before leaving, the area was so nice it almost--almost made me regret not working out while there. So now nice and refreshed my wife and I grabbed our bags and went for a taxi, we did not use Mears because they wanted to pick us up at 5:30 in the afternoon for a 9:00 flight, we got in a cab with broken a/c so we were back to sweating just like in the parks, but a short 20 minute ride and we were there. $49 dollars was just fine not to have to spend 2 extra hours in the airport.
