Hello, everyone,
I've been away for awhile due to having to reformat this computer. Saturday, May 20, I went to a forum and a virus hit it big time. It wasn't fun and I was worried I'd lose all of my files. On that same day, I made plans to meet up with Christine who was pet-sitting at our friend's house in Studio City. Mom stayed home that weekened not feeling well and I left the house around 3. On the way to Studio City, I first decided to make a stop at DL to finally do what I've been wanting to do for months:

I COMPLETED PHOTOGRAPHING THE HIDDEN 50'S!!!! :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Ahem, in place of the golden stagecoach there is indeed a 50 on the Dumbo ride. That's the photo I got before finishing up the remaining 50's I needed to get. They were:

The Mark Twain Steamboat (between the smokestacks)
The Columbia (stern and bow)
Tom Sawyer's Island (on that cabin near the docks)
Pirates of the Caribbean (you can see it by standing on the upper walkway)
Above Royal Street
Corner of Royal and New Orleans Street
Haunted Mansion (cobweb! The line was too long; I just asked the CM if I could slip in to take the picture)
Splash Mountain (The rock next to the final drop)
Critter Country (the bridge above Winnie the Pooh and Splash Mountain)

After I finished, I left the park around 6:30 to jump on the 5 North and head to Christine, stopping first to get dinner and finally rest.

We skipped going to DL on Sunday, May 21 from being plain exhausted. Instead, we puttered around the house before leaving to go have lunch around 2:30, followed by driving into Hollywood! It's real easy to get to from Studio City. Just take Ventura Blvd. all the way and then you could park in the Hollywood Highland parking garage.

Monday, May 22 was when we returned to DL for just a few hours. Christine had work at 3:30, so we had to do as much as we could before heading home. We got there at around 10:30 and headed straight for Space Mountain to grab a Fast Pass to return between 12:40-1:40. Next, we jumped in line for the Matterhorn (Tomorrowland side), then walked all the way over to Adventureland to ride Indiana Jones.

Next, it was a run over to Haunted Mansion, but first the gate was closed! Nooooo! We turned and headed over to the temporary Pieces of Eight store since Christine was interested in buying that new Mickey Pirate hat. She turned it down for the moment and we walked back over to HM, noticing the gate reopening! We ran up and got the very first seat of the Doombuggies. This was weird. No one was in front of us, of course, but no one got seated behind us!

After that, there was NO line for Splash Mountain at all! It rained badly earlier that morning, but it was all nice n' sunny! The line started all the way near the boarding zone. It was awesome! However, just before seeing Brer Rabbit riding on that flat cart, our log stopped for several minutes! I later heard someone had to get out of the log, stopping the ride entirely. Notice when you're pressed for time, stuff like this happens?

When we finally got off (I actually wanted the ride to hurry up!), we ran over to Tomorrowland to use our Fast Pass for Space Mountain. Our last stop was in the Star Trader for Christine to purchase the Mickey Pirate hat and get her name embroidered on the back. Yup, she wanted it! I finally decided to get a 50th gold ball for our car's antenna. Christine paid for both items, but we later noticed the CM didn't take off the discount for her AP! I wonder if she can go back on our next visit and show her receipt to them?

And that's it! A mad dash out to the parking lot and home from a long but fun weekend!
