Day Three – Friday

We had a Good Morning Fantasyland Breakfast booked for today but we popped into the hotel reception to see which characters would be visiting. It was Pluto and then Minnie so we had took photos of Lucas with both of them. He loved Pluto and was dancing with him when no-one was there! While in the hotel I made a lunch booking for Café Mickey so we could have lunch with the characters. We then made our way to the park and into breakfast at Au Chalet de le Marionette. There were quite a lot of people at this breakfast but plenty of food to go round, I think I must have eaten four croissants! After about half an hour we walked out into Fantasyland, and it seemed we were the first, everyone else was still eating. Lucas and I walked over to Dumbo, and rode on it all by ourselves – twice! We then went straight onto Peter Pan, another dark ride which Lucas was unsure of but good all the same. We then decided to walk over to Small World and as we did we saw 5 characters coming out of the gate! There was no-one else around but us and Lucas went running right up to them and straight to Tigger! The penguin was there again and Baloo, Goofy and two others I’m not sure of. Tigger picked Lucas up and swung him around and then they all gathered for a photo with us which the cast member with them took. Onto Small World – again – still singing the song! Back into Discoveryland and I spied some people queuing up behind a photographer and then lo and behold Ross spot Buzz on his way to the queue! We ran to the queue ( I can’t believe how childlike we can be!) and got some fantastic pictures of Lucas with Buzz, he is really good at smiling at the camera! One more ride on Buzz, and then off to lunch at Café Mickey. Lucas fell asleep on the way so we had to wake him up once we were inside which didn’t please him. The food here was lovely, Ross and I both had Chip ‘N’ Dale’s fish and chips and Lucas had Donalds Grilled Sausage with chips. Our waitress was very nice, she took time to talk to Lucas. I suppose it helped that the restaurant was nearly empty, there were only half a dozen other families there while we were there. We saw Pluto, Baloo, Goofy, Stitch, Gepetto, Minnie and finally Mickey. By this time Lucas has eaten his dinner and got bored sitting still and when Mickey came Lucas wasn’t interested. He just wanted to play with the crayons he was given and nothing was going to stop him! We didn’t manage to get a couple of photos with him though. After lunch we had our first visit to the Walt Disney Studios, which seemed very small compared to the Disneyland Park! I went straight onto the Aerosmith ride, another head-banging one but effective because of the music playing in your ears all through the ride. We all then queued for 5 mins for the Studio Tram Tour, I could see the seats to the left of the trams were slightly wet so we avoided those, and I’m glad I did. I wont spoil it for those of you who haven’t been. We then strolled around looking for characters and we saw Daisy Duck, Pinocchio, Mr Incredible, Minnie and Mickey. For tea we headed back to Caseys Corner in the Disneyland Park and did some more shopping! Yes, it’s certainly easy to spend money here!

Did you take Lucas to Animagique whilst you were in the studios? If not you'll need to do it next time ;)

Great that you made the most of GMF breakfast and time in the park.

Cafe Mickey being so quiet sounds fantastic :)
