This will be my first ever trip report and unfortunately I havent come up with any creative names for my title, but maybe that will change as time goes on. I guess first off I can start with introductions:
Me, Hannah in front (4 yr) Kate to my left (2 yr)
and...
DH with Hannah
OK on to the trip---
We were scheduled to leave at 7am Saturday morning and would be flying to the World. The Tuesday before, we got nailed with the snowstorm leaving us with about 18 inches of snow. That would be my last night of work, which left me to sleep all day Wednesday, pack Thursday, and celebrate Kate turning 2 on Friday (her real birthday). Thats how I wanted things to go anyways. I slept on Wednesday, and of course had 50 million errands to do Thursday and was totally exhausted in the evening so i went to bed and figured I would pack on Friday. So friday rolls around, and kate has a doctors appt, hannah had preschool, then we did a little mini party for kate with just the 4 of us, and I had to get to work in my scrapbook room to finish the girls autograph books that I so conveniently forgot about!! So Im plugging away in my scrapbook book, and my stomach suddenly got really upset. I figured I was just really nervous because I still hadnt packed, and I wanted everything about this trip to be perfect. Well about an hour later, its 4pm and I am sicker than sick in the bathroom. I felt like I could die. We were supposed to have dinner with my parents for Kates birthday and i just could not leave the bathroom. I felt awful for missing kates dinner. Then hannah comes in the kitchen throwing up. GRRRR...what the heck? we were supposed to catch a plane in 12 hours! Hannah and I went up to bed while Michael and kate went out to dinner. I spent the majority of the night in the bathroom and hannah just fell asleep. I tried several times to call Airtran to get a later flight but everytime I would get someone on the line, I would have to hang up to get sick. Maybe this was a sign...just wait it out. By midnight I was bawling my eyes out cause I hadnt packed me or the girls, had gotten no sleep, and needed to be leaving for the airport in 5 hours. I tried in between trips to the bathroom to do the packing. My husband says at one point he came out and I was sleeping with my head was in the suitcase. NICE. Around 3am, I had finished packing and needed to laydown and try to get a wink of sleep. I did manage to sleep from 3-4am without throwing up
We got the girls up at 4am, showered, and were out the door by 5. Still feeling like CRAP, but no getting sick. We got to the airpot, checked our bags, and headed to the gate. This is the first trip I have ever taken with DH where he was calm cool and collected in the airport. He is usually a raging psycho running through the airport. But we had plenty of time, and I warned him not to push me after the night I had. Sitting at the gate, poor Hannah just looked miserably tired, and Kate was excited as could be for her first plane ride. I asked DH to get me a coke to keep my tummy settled and to get something for the girls for breakfast...any guesses what he comes back with? Sprite and licorice.
Classic breakfast Mikey!
Anyways, we boarded the plane and of course were in the very back row of the plane with no recline in the seat. I had the girls sit with me incase I had to be sick...didnt want to do that next to some stranger...icky. Hannah slept the entire ride, and Kate was your typical 2 year old...whiney at times, wanting to run through the plane, and see how loud she could scream before ticking everyone around us off
We arrived in Orlando, got our bags, and then boarded Magical Express
