Trip Report 11/24-12/03-07 Cheers, Jeers, and Tears - at FW?

You guys got me on that one...I dont even remember SEEING a place called Writers Corner....thats not the place next to SCI-FI Theater, with the couch is it?

I could tell you, but I'd have to kill you.

I thought I was the only one who knew about the Writer's Corner. Keep this one under your hat - we don't want riffraff like tungpo1, Gatordad or BigDaddyRog showing up there.

They wouldn't want to go there, nasty old place with bugs, a sanitation score of 82, and too rists milling around outside being annoying and taking pictures and stuff.

The secret is safe with me!!! It's quiet, not out of the way - but not obvious either, and seldom crowded! My kinda place! (Along with a Barnes & Nobles)

It's never too late for a trip report :cool1: Thats for all of the details. I have a feeling I would be sad about all of the clearing too. I don't care of it's for the best, lol. I liked how private the sites felt, even when FW was full. :sad1:

Great pictures by the way. A couple of them were dark, but I could still see them. ;)

Someone on here posted some pics of their site in the 70's. It looked like your site was in the woods for real. They had a Pinto on the site as well. The dad I think was an IBM employee. If you're still a poster please show those pics again.

Yay, it is good to know we're not alone! I take the freakishness a level further, though by taking pictures of it. After drinking an iced mocha at the Writer's Corner in MGM three pieces of the circle-shaped ice fell into a Mickey formation up against the side of the cup. I see nothing wrong with taking these kind of pictures ;) .

:rotfl: We are the same way, we were at a restaurant a little while ago, and my DD all of a sudden started freaking out. We thought something had bit her.:rotfl: Nope, there was a "hidden Mickey" in her cup made out of ice. I am sure people thought we were nuts!

We should start a new thread You might be a Disney/Ft. Wilderness Freak if.... Our own version of Jeff's Redneck if...

I see from the picture of the marina that they had removed the big fan from the dock that was there just before Thanksgiving. The wife had asked, while waiting for the shuttle boat, what the big fan was for. I, with a straight face, said it was to give the folks renting sailboats a running start. She should know after 32 years not to believe me but she did.

Great photos. I wish I could post some, we have a few that cam e out really great. Well not great just that show how barren the sites are.
We were in the 2000 loop street side too from Dec 2 - Dec 9. Close to the comfort station I think it was 2051. I'll have to check. It was very open. The loop was very empty while we were there though. I wanted to move a couple of sites down closer to CS, but too much work.
Our 15th anniversary is coming up and I'm trying to talk DH into another FW trip again , no parks just MNSSHP one night, then spend the rest of the trip enjoying the Fort.
