Fall 2026 itineraries

There is a recent post in the New DCL ships post that shows the steel cutting ceremony for the 4th Wish Class ship. The theory is that this marks the time period of when that ship will launch. According to the post that would make it April 2027 based on recent history. Could this be potentially why DCL is holding off releasing the new itineraries which would include spring 2027 ? I’m guessing they don’t want to list that one on itineraries
Before they even announce information on the new ship. Maybe ?
Maybe, but in the past DCL has released itineraries that just don’t include a new ship. They could also release information on sailings just from September through December 2026, as they have most summers, and release 2027 information this fall.

This would line up with the theory someone had that they're holding off for destination D23 at the end of the month. I'm pretty sure they've done it once before but I'm not 100%

I'm still hoping the 12th or 14th (probably more likely the 14th out of the 2).

Historical data shows that they have not held off for D23 in the past. This is the latest release. I assume it’s coming out August 14 & bookable the next week.

Its not my theory, and I'm not saying I agree with it. I'm just sharing it just as are others sharing others. Just like the person saying there is a theory of DCL going to 2 announcements a year and waiting until October (linking up with someone else who said they were told by a TA or someone that it would be October). Exactly what most of the last 44 pages have been.

I have said previously (since the last logical guesstimate passed) and I still hope it will be the 12th or 14th, with the 14th the one I consider most likely. The 14th will put it at 1 day over the previous longest time between same season announcements. It also makes sense as booking the week after still leaves a week before D23.

I agree with this or they could even release up to say, late March/early April so they don’t give the game away for Wish 4 sail date.

I feel like you want people stepping off their cruises having the opportunity to book that exact same weekend next year... So, I feel like midSeptember is the absolute latest an announcement could be...
I don't see them waiting till October 1. Wouldn't it throw off their fiscal year profit report for 2025 to wait until the following fiscal year 26 for a release? I think it is next week (Thinking Thursday but Tuesday is possible). Steel cutting today, Destiny float out over weekend... feels like its a good move. Also Royal is having a rough moments with the Icon slide and the Coco Cay Brawl so why not take advantage of it?

I would love to schedule an annual cruise with the same itinerary that I just did ( 4 nights, both Disney cays).
There are a TON of those offered in 2026

Wish is having them every few weeks starting in Jan fwd (at least 1 every month, sometimes 2 a month). The Fantasy has several over the summer and into the early fall. Also a Merry Times ones in 2025 (Fantasy & Wish)

Out of Fort Lauderdale the Dream and the Destiny have them. Lots of options for 4 nights to both DCL stops.

I just got a survey from DCL today about why I didn't book a cruise while on their website. I have two cruises currently booked so I am not really sure why I even got this survey. In any case, it was asking a lot about what ships I was looking at. I selected the Wish, Dream, Fantasy, and Treasure. From there all the questions were about the Dream. In all of following questions one of the answers I could select about reasons why I didn't book was the schedule was not out far enough. So I think DCL knows the schedule not being out is an issue.
Interesting, I went to partake in a survey but when I l clicked New Zealand/Australia it said it wasn't looking for participants from that area.

Could the new ship have an impact on new itinerary release? Yes, to the extent that this starts a game of domino with ship location, but if memory serves me correctly, the itinerary release for new ship is done on a standalone basis so as not to 1) overwhelm cast members who would have to deal with both people booking the new ship and the new itineraries at the same time and 2) have the 2 compete with each other. When bookings are soft, you release your "same old, same old" first, and then you bring the shiny new toy, to give a chance to the older itineraries/ship to sell.

I got off a DCL ship this week and our server in Palo told us that DCL employees typically need U.S. visas (not sure why, maybe the training is in FL?) and in the last few months a lot of staff are getting denied visas and visa renewals. Not sure if it’s true (but he seemed credible) or widespread, but it might also be throwing some uncertainty into DCL’s plans plans, if true.

Amongst other things, it would for disembarkation/embarkation for when their contract ends/starts. When they arrive in the US for a contract, they may be arriving the day before for example - so do get to spend actual time in the US. Also, not sure whether they are considered to be in the US while the ship is docked. This is most important for members of the dining team who would be the same during an entire cruise, this is less critical for other staff as I have seen staff get on/get off at ports outside of the US, When the Wonder first went to Australia/NZ, a fair number of employees had to be swapped to the Magic, and a few other ships as citizens of certain countries were not eligible for a visa in Australia. Now, in principle, this would not only impact DCL, assuming employees of all cruise lines are being "screened on an equal opportunity basis".
