Trip of Extremes and Dreams! Tons of Pics! 11/30 -12/10 Update Highlight to the End

I love the pins and their stories!

Hope you are feeling better.

Hi Figment's Friend!

Love the stories behind all of the pins.

Kiddos have informed me that they want to start pintrading next time we go. I'll have to head over to e-bay to get some deals. With three kids, it could certainly end up as a spendy endeavor!

Too funny about the video. Careful, your excitement is showing! :yay:

Can't wait to see the rest.

Love - Barb

p.s. - Say hi to your mom for me!

I love love LOVE love love the Dory pin on Heidi's lanyard, it fits her perfectly! That Haunted Mansion pin is ADORABLE! And you are right, to be allowed to use the name Figment's Friend, you did need him on your lanyard! Those look so pretty!

When we get back from vacation (I love typing that!) I will have to take some pictures of our collections for you. Each of the boys has one and I have a huge family one as well.

How is Heidi doing? Give her hugs and tell her that my demands for her health MUST be met. I insist.:rotfl:

I really enjoyed seeing your pins! If only the video would have been possible too! Greedy little thing, aren't I?! :lmao:

I am wondering if Beast is doing okay? Are you guys abusing him again? :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

I love all your pins, although I have to say my favorites are the Haunted Mansion, Mary Poppins (my all time fav Disney movie!!), Cruella, and Jiminy Cricket (my second fav character behind Donald). I have a few pins and a lanyard that I wore last year a little bit. I could never work up the courage to walk up to a CM and trade though- I know, I'm lame :sad2: I do have about 30 or so though that I keep in a book and look at occasionally. I mainly try to concentrate on pins from attractions, hotels I have stayed at, Donald and Minnie pins. I love the Minnie pins I have of her dressed up in different outfits-they are some of my favorites! I am racking my brain trying to think of a way to display my collection in our soon to be Disney themed office at home. Sorry for the rambling post, but I love pins :goodvibes

We display our pins by pushing them through a an artist's canvas and then simply hanging it on the wall. It looks great, is simple/cheap to create and shows them all off! HTH!

o my word...we love Pins!! especially DH, its how he stays happy at the World!! he's always on a mission to find the CM only pins!

Yay, you posted your pin pictures! I have one of those YOAMD lanyards too. :goodvibes Actually I have quite a few of the pins you have (ok, I counted 3 I think. :rotfl: ). I love that Lady and the Tramp w/ Stitch one.

Here's a little shadow box display I made to show off some of my pins:

Thanks, Barb! You can find some fantastic deals on Ebay!! Sometimes I think they have more on Ebay than they do at Disney World! :lmao:

Thanks, Jay! :wizard: I'd love to see your pins when you get the chance! DM is doing much better. The Beast hasn't given us any trouble in quite a while, in fact, he's been a little angel. :rotfl2: Have a BLAST on your trip!

Thanks, Ashley! ;) Mary Poppins is one of my favorite Disney movies as well, it's a classic. The book idea is a great one! Attraction pins are the best! I had been looking for a SpectroMagic spinner but whoa  VERY costly! Very cool about the home office, if you can, when it's finished you'll have to post pictures! :worship:

Fantastic pins, I've got the dole whip one and the Epcot one too :thumbsup2

Great minds think alike! ;)

Hello! :3dglasses Great for your DH, I like that pin-crazy-on-the-search attitude! :thumbsup2

Hey, wdwgirl! Great pins, I love that one on the far right side that says Walt Disney World with Mickey in the corner! :cloud9: I saw the rest of your collection on your PTR, it's quite addicting huh? :woohoo:

I AM SO JEALOUS OF ALL YOUR PINS!!! I LOVE THEM ALLL!!!!!!!

I love the Lady and the Tramp one with Stitch! and the Port Orleans one!!!

That's got to be 200 dollars worth of pins on that lanyard! I used to have a star tours pin that I kept on my bag, but it always fell off!! I don't think the little mickey head things are very secure, so that's why I don't wear my pins on a lanyard. Plus I don't want to blow people off who try to trade with me because I WILL NOT TRADE!!

I don't even want to think about how much I've spent on pins! :lmao: :upsidedow I know what you mean about them falling off. They really are secure on the lanyard but before we won it last year I was keeping pins on my bag and some went missing, on Maelstrom actually :confused3 I don't see myself trading anytime soon either, that's for sure!

Hi Everyone!! :grouphug:

I feel like I've been gone forever! I'm feeling much better, not at 100% yet, but getting there!

How cute were all those pins!! I just LOVE my Lady and the Tramp and Stitch! She looks so apalled by his eating behavior!! :rotfl2:

*** Don't tell DD but I will NOT be wearing my lanyard constantly during this trip! It's hot and heavy and in the way. She's a little delusional but we'll keep that between us!! :rotfl:

This was my surprise: I went out to the car the other day and discovered one of Sir George's friends on my car.

100_3791.jpg

He seemed determined to stay where he was, so I got into the car and fired it up. I figured he'd jump off when he heard the engine.

*** Funny how it's a "he", huh?

Anyway, he didn't jump off!! He stayed on for the whole trip and back to the house! :lmao:

What a fun guy!!!

DD should be on later or tomorrow to show you "THE SECRET TO A SUCCESSFUL DISNEY TRIP!" It's amazing!

I hope to share some pictures of me cooking dinner tomorrow night. However, no one is to call the chicken abuse line. Barb, this means you. You've already reported me to Barbie Services!! :rotfl:

Next up for the gecko (or whatever he is ...): Space Mountain!!! :rotfl2:

(... which - depending on how you drive - could be a letdown ... :lmao:)

Back to pins: I picked up a few starter lanyards - with 2 pins - at the Disney store for only about $3 each ...

I use one to hold my ID at work (and people are starting to notice ...):thumbsup2 so I'll have to add a pin or two after our Dec trip ...

But the main reason I got them (really!!) is for the DD - she'll be 5, and maybe she'll get into the whole pin trading thing ... (or not - which means more for me ... pirate: ... )

Glad to hear you're feeling better ... (go percoset!! ... :rainbow: )

Hi, Heidi!!! :wave2: Glad to see you're back!

DS feels the same way about the lanyards. Too hot, too heavy, gets in the way. He'll wear it for a bit, then, who does he hand it off to? You guessed it. Mama.

Love love love the lizard pics! How funny was that? I couldn't imagine driving with that on my windshield. I probably would have turned the wipers on, just to see him fly through the air! :lmao: :rotfl: OK - now you can call the lizard police on ME!!!

I"ll let the chicken thing slide this time. Then we'll be even.

Miss you, Sweeite!

Gotta Go! Vikings are playing!

Love - Barb

OMG Heidi that was one brave lizard :rotfl:

I agree with lanyards, I can't even wear one which has no pins on (so lighter) for long it annoys my neck! My DD's bought pin bags and as they zip up the pins never fell off and got lost :thumbsup2

We live around a huge canal. Whenever I go walking I see some that are well over two feet long! :scared1: (Sometimes I don't walk that way because they startle me with the way they blend in and scurry like rats!)

Yikes, that is one adventurous lizard! I am amazed that a) he stayed on your car the whole time and b) you were able to get pictures of him on there! When we used to visit my grandfather in Ft. Lauderdale his backyard was basically some grass and then a canal and there were some HUGE lizards in and around it. I was always afraid his dog was going to get eaten or something :scared1: Those things looked like like mini-dinosaurs, and I wouldn't go in the yard when I saw them. :scared:

Before last year DM and I always came back to the resort after a long park day with bubbling blisters and sores on our feet (just what everybody wants to hear!). This stuff does the trick! It's like a deodorant stick; you just rub it all over your foot/toes/ankle in the morning and I promise, my feet weren't even tired from walking! :thumbsup2 For a small tube like this they run about $15.99-$18.99 at the Sports Authority, but I scored a 2 for 1 on Ebay!! :yay: :worship: These just arrived in the mail, makes the trip feel so much closer.

We are 68 days out!!! :hippie:
