I know I just went last Monday, but after I moved out of my dorm room (yay being done with the first year of college), my mom and I went to DLR for a day yesterday. Here are some of the highlights:

-Rode 20 rides and only used FP for Space. Low crowds all day, it was great.

-Had lunch at the Blue Bayou. Yummy monte cristo sandwich. It was a nice lunch just me and my mom.

-The walls in front of Star Tours came down sometime in between last Monday and yesterday, and the area looks amazing! Also some of the walls by Little Mermaid came down too. See below for pics.

-Watched most of the Sharks game at the ESPN Zone. Yay they won! :cool1:

-Rode the Mark Twain Riverboat for the first time ever! It was something that I had never done (I know, crazy right?). It was relaxing and enjoyable. We also went into the Main Street Cinema and watched some old cartoons for a bit to take a short break.

-Tried to see the "Magic, Memories, and You" show over by IASW, but it was cancelled. Probably because it was a grad nite and they wanted to get people out of the park as soon as possible.

-On a warm day, the testing Splash boats were such a tease! :rotfl:

-Last time using our Premier Passports. :sad1: Sad day.

Anyway, pics as always!!!

Rode Jumpin Jellyfish just to get a peek at Goofy's Sky School. The billboards on top look great!

Nice shots of Star Tours and lucky you for twotrips in such a short period of time. Its nice you and your mom got to spend some time together. :thumbsup2

Nice quick report. My boys will be excited to see your Star Tours pics. So lucky to get to go again on a non-crowded day! Hope finals went well. Are you going to get Disney APs again when you return to college in the fall? Our APs have expired, and I can't wait to go back and get some again.

I gotta start going on Wednesdays and Thursday.

I always love your small TRs :goodvibes
Ahhh seeing the walls down at ST2 makes me soooo excited for next Friday!:cool1:
& Little Mermaid looks great! I also can't wait for Splash to re-open (May 26 right? I will just miss it :sad2:)
And, congrats with college! Enjoy your summer until next semester :thumbsup2

Wow, it sounds like we left a little too soon! Our last day was Tuesday and all the walls were still up and the crowds were insane. I was not expecting that at all!

Looks like an absolutely lovely day. :) Thanks for sharing!

Getting me more excited for our June trip! Thanks for the cool pics. Congrats on finishing up your first year!

IT's really cool that you could peek inside Star Tours. I like that DCA is getting a lot of walkways back soon.

:yay: I always enjoy your Trip Observations! (I enjoy your regular TRs too.) I can't believe that was your first time on Mark Twain! Loved the Screamin' pics. Sounds like you had a great Disneyland day with your mom. Congrats on finishing your first year of college.

Thank you all for your kind words. @longtimedisneylurker, I will definitely be investing in another AP for next year. I will be gone all summer, so I won't be able to ride the new rides until next year, and I'll definitely want to ride them all year long, plus with Carsland opening...yup, gotta get another AP. But this time I won't be getting a Premier. Sadly, I'll just settle for a Premium DLR AP. I was gonna get the Deluxe, but since I don't have a car, I figure, all my friends who drive me to DLR can pay for the gas, and I can pay for the parking. Fine... So Premium it is for me. Although, gotta start saving now.

No LMAUA until the fall? Really? No Star Tours 2 either? Well, I am speechless! :rolleyes1

Well I'll probably ride Star Tours 2 for the first time in Florida. I'm working at WDW for all of June and July so I will be on the wrong coast for Little Mermaid, but it's ok. I'll wait a couple months to see how it fits in with my touring style. :goodvibes

Great TR! We were just there on Saturday and went by to check out ST. We will one of the lucky ones previewing it this Friday.:goodvibes

So funny you rode MT for the first time. I took my DNephew2.5 on it for the first time Saturday. He enjoyed it. We also went in the MS Cinema as well. He was transfixed! He also experienced the Tiki Room and Pirates Lair for the first time too. He loved the Pontoon Bridge. He kept saying "Again" We must have crossed it 5-6 times. We didn't arrive inside DL until about 10:15 so it was nice to be able to do some of the things we don't normally do when it's just me and DD11. We did 4 things (spent quite awhile on PL) in about 2 hours. :goodvibes

Seems like a fair deal to me for you to cover the parking. And I just love not having to worry about whether it's a blockout day when going. We're hoping for an August trip so will get our APs then, which should get us through the opening of Carsland. We might not want to deal with all that opening craziness though and could miss it, so, oh darn, we'll have to buy APs again in 2012. :rolleyes1 We've got to start saving too.

I was right...my younger DS was really excited by your Star Tours photos.

Awesome summer job. No wonder you won't need the premiere AP! We're still wondering how we'll work the new rides into our touring style. I'll be watching these boards for tips. We're rarely patient enough to wait very long for anything except Toy Story. We may end up skipping the new stuff on our summer trip, especially since it's going to be a quick one this year, and waiting until fall. On the upside, maybe the Toy Story line won't be as long.
