Anyone purchase insurance through another comapany besides DCL? I could save up to $200.00 if I switch to another insurance co. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Lisa

I would read all of the fine print to make sure what you are buying is what you really need. Are you buying it for the health insurance part or for trip cancelation? Some plans in the fine print will only reimburse you for the cost of the trip.

We bought trip insurance from a company someone recommend on this on this board and it covers all of our trip before and after the cruise, kids are free under 17. Our cost for $4500 worth of insurance is $123.

Definately check out other options. I decided on AccessAmerica, but there are other companies out there. Maybe someone can refresh my memory, but I believe there is a site that offers and compares several companies.

Just be sure to check the fine print. I went with Access America instead of DCL because I was able to cover the flights and other expenses not covered by DCL. Besides the trip cancellation, it can also cover medical expenses and cost of travel due to medical reasons, which can be quite expensive if you have to be moved off the cruise ship and to an island or back to the mainland quickly.
Good Luck
