Hello all,

I posted this in another section, but I'm hoping that I might get some more replies here.....

This is my first post, although I have been reading and reading for many months to plan for our upcoming trip. The only time we are able to go is February 6-11, 2009, but now I am a little concerned with President's Day. I know it isn't until the following week (February 16th), but does anyone know if the parks tend to be crowded the week before President's Day or only the week of President's Day?

Also, I know that weather can vary, but do you think that is a good time to go?

Thank you in advance for your replies!

We're going in Feb too. I am packing swim suits since the pools are heated. Are they open in Feb? I am such a planner....I need to know every detail. It may be on the verge of being neurotic!

I have my family's vacation booked for Feb 8th - 13th. Here's what I found out after much research. Historically (meaning there's no guarantee), crowds pick up on the Thursday before President's Day weekend and get real busy on Friday. Since you're trip ends on the 11th, you should be good to go.

Regarding weather, the historical averages sound great! Mid 50's - 60 in the morning, low 70's during the day, and low 60's in the evenings. If there's a heat wave (high 70's), it'll be warm enough to swim. The good thing regardless is that you don't get hot walking around all of the parks. A light jacket and you're off.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info, we're there from Feb 7-14 and I was wondering the same thing!
