I have a trip next week. Of course, bingo, here comes a storm. I'm a planner so I'm trying to come up with a to do list if my travel is impacted. I'm flying through Orlando and Charlottesville, so there's a decent chance my flights will change. Here's what I'm thinking.
1) check with the airline to see about delays
2) let my Dreams agent know what's going on - I'm hoping it would be relatively easy to get a day or two added to my resort stay due to low capacity - that one I should be able to not worry about, right?
3) let my boss know I won't be back to work on time - bummer lol
Anything else I'm not thinking about?
No worries, I'm budgeting for an extended stay just in case.

Check the status for the potential storm at https://www.nhc.noaa.gov
That's the best, and more importantly non-sensational, website to track storms. Given its current prediction, it may not even come close to FL.

I live on the west coast of FL. They are predicting this storm to fizzle out once it gets past the lower islands. I seriously doubt it will come to the US. Of course, anything can happen but there apparently is a lot of wind shear in the path of the storm. This weakens it tremendously and pushes it more north eastern in track. They update the storm track about 4 times per day.

Yeah, I think it's wishful thinking I'll have to say longer!

Yes check in with your boss because for his safety sake he will want to make sure to take precautions.
