Anyone care to hazard a guess which might be more crowded?
Oct looks crazy bc its close to SWGE opening and fall breaks and Columbus day! Ive never seen this many EMH posted already! We usually go fall break or the week before Christmas (arr around Dec 16 - leaving by Dec 21 or 22)
But would it be that much better in June? Not sure what to think - with both Star Wars rides open but I thought the first week in June may be a little less crowded usually?

TIA

I may be attacked for saying this, but I think SWGE is overhyped and crowds will be no where near what the hype says 😱

That being said, even with SWGE being a hit, October still will likely have less crowds. Early June is when things really start to pick up. And Touring Plans agrees with me.

Well I won't attack you ! I really hope you are right! I don't want to wait and we like Ocotober but last year was surprisingly hot and crowded.

We are a little over 2 months post SWGE opening at DLR...current wait times at Disneyland right now (a mid-summer Sunday afternoon) for all rides (outside of SWGE) is less than 30 minutes. The one ride in SWGE (Smugglers Run) has a modest 60 minute wait.

I realize that WDW is a different type of destination vs. DLR, BUT, my money is on over-hyped :)

And yeah, the heat can be a total wildcard in October down there. Hopefully we get lucky because I'll be down there as well.

I should add: I think the reason for this is not because it's not a good land - I just don't think it has a lot to offer. As of right now all it has is scenery and one ride that has very mediocre reviews. I just don't think people are going out of their way to get there. When ROTR opens...then things may change.

Also, a lot of the crazy nuts have already visited SWGE in California - which takes the edge off the opening at WDW.

Thanks for your insight stewart715. That helps a lot! So glad we aren't in the crazy nut category haha
I have already booked the Swan for October and was surprised to get it. I thought there was a big convention there that booked the Swan and Dolphin some time around then

May will be more crowded. Been there in May and October. We always plan on October now.I think Florida kids get done school memorial day weekend. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Also the weather will be slightly cooler in October.
