Hi everyone, I have a question about the free waterpark day.

We're DVC members and I'm traveling with my daughter to move her into the Disney College program. We want to go to the waterpark on Sunday before her program starts. We're arriving late Saturday night at AKV, so we can't use the waterpark feature on Saturday. BUT there's a different category room at AKV available the first night. I'm wondering if we switch the first night to the different room whether we'll be able to access the waterpark benefit on Sunday when we switch to our other room? It seems like we should, since we're checking out and checking in. What do you think?

That would be a split stay with 2 different reservations. So yes, you’ll get a waterpark admission for each check in day. However, you will have to leave your room & before 11 am Sunday & your new room may not be ready until late afternoon. As long as you’re OK with that, your plan will work.

I have a reservation coming up at the end of the month. I had to break my reservation into 2 separate stays since I have different people coming and going.

I can now see 2 separate free water park offerings in my account. One for each check in day. So yeah definitely that will work for you.

Thanks! Since we arrive late at night, we won't have unpacked and can easily move rooms. And thanks, Bastraker, for confirming it with your own experience.

You’ll probably need to store your bags with luggage service since your new room won’t be ready when you want to go to the Water Park.

Also, I had to add a night to my stay and I couldn’t just add to my existing reservation (it was a BB). I have a separate, continuing reservation and the CM made sure to mention that I’d receive another Water Park offer. I wouldn’t have thought of that, so was glad she told me. Have fun!
