Could anyone give details on whether or not there might be trick or treating during Fantasy's Halloween cruise?

How does it work? I know at the park, they have (or used to) a map showing locations of the treat stations

We're on a Magic Halloween cruise in less than a month and not a peep about it from Disney. Would be great to know what to expect.

Pre-Covid, the kids got a trick or treat bag in the stateroom and there were stations around the lobby area. Not a highlight of the cruise.

You would see people in cruise groups organize cabins trick or treats, but we never participated in this.

Pre-covid was the last time we were on a Halloween. On one of the nights they had trick or treating that consisted of stations around the lobby. They would hand out fists full of candy at each station and you could even go back for more. The had large boxes of candy that they poured onto the tables. Many of the crew and guests wore costumes. I believe one restriction was no masks.

Did adults participate too or just the children?

Adults too. My spouse was running around to each station grabbing the candies that she liked. Here are some pictures from the past:

Lol no masks

We were on the magic last year and sailed on Halloween day. Last year for all the HOTHS sailing they put a bag of candy in the stateroom. When we boarded we were told that we would be trick or treating that night! They had about 5 or 6 stations on the top deck that we got to go to and trick-or-treat.

I have nothing to compare it to as this was our first cruise, but we're going again in October and expecting at least that or more...However I'm also not expecting them to announce the day prior to boarding

I'm on a HOTHS next week and got this email about a week ago. It basically says nothing helpful  I poked around old pre-COVID navigators and found many had afternoon Halloween festivities so I am banking on that (otherwise we have to tweak a Palo reservation once on board...).

Thank you for choosing a Disney Cruise Line vacation. We look forward to sailing with you and want to take this opportunity to share some important information as you prepare to pack for your vacation.

We’ll be celebrating Halloween on the High Seas with themed offerings during your sailing and you’re invited to bring a costume to join in the fun. Though not required, we encourage Guests of all ages to bring their costumes.

Additional information on themed events, times and locations will be available onboard in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App.

Please remember that while all Guests are invited to wear costumes, masks that completely cover a person's face may only be worn when standing still at character photo locations and must be carried when moving around the ship. We also ask that you choose costumes that are not obstructive or offensive. To avoid any disappointment or delay in the boarding process, please refrain from bringing toys or props that resemble guns, knives or other related implements, as these items will not be allowed onboard.

Again, we look forward to sailing with you and hope you have a magical cruise.

Your cruise is coming right up as well!
We are very excited but still that nervous feeling about passing covid testing.
We sail in 9 days!

Thank you for this info. It gives us a bit more of idea of what to expect ....

We’re on the 9/19 Wish cruise. Two adults and we’re bringing Rapuzel and Flynn Rider outfits. More Disney bounding then actual costumes. Can’t wait!

Sooooo….just the kids? Do I need to bring my own bag? I want “free” candy, too 😜
Exactly haha! We have participated several times at WDW and never been turned away..the most memorable time was when I had to wear a Turtle shell "ninja Turtle style" and go through a little maze for the candy reward..that was at AOA resort. We laughed about that so many times.. 🤣
