Or as my DD4 calls it, "Sticker Neating", lol...

Do I need to bring a bag or bucket for her?

We are attending the party on the 13th. Our first day there is on the 12th, which is also a party day...so we'll have a shorter amount of time to ride and do things. We're also planning a full day on that Saturday 17th (our last day).

How much time is burned trying to find the candy spots and walking up to them? This is our first NSSHP experience. Should we map out a route?

We've heard that during the party is an excellent time to ride (which we want to do a bit)due to short lines, but we don't want to miss out on the party either. How much time should we designate to hopping on rides? OR should we avoid that altogether and just "party"?

We want to watch the Villian show, see the parade, trick or treat and ride some of the rides we were unable to ride the day before. Is this impossible? Am I trying to do too much in too little time?

They give you a bag, but it's not that big, so if you are planning to hit the candy stops hard, bring your own. The trick-or-treat lines are very long right as the party starts, but they thin out after a bit. Ride lines will be short, but don't expect to hit everything. Remember that you can get 3 FP+ for rides between 4 and 7 (well, 6:30 will be the end of all windows), so use that for some rides.

Trick or treat spots are very easy to find, each is marked with a huge orange lantern. Literally impossible to miss! They don't take up much time, either. We just hit whichever one we were passing by on our way to something else. You just walk through, and each one has a CM (usually 2, actually) with big barrels in front of them. Walk up, open bag, walk away. Even when the lines *looked* big, they move fast. There's no stopping really.

They give you a bag when you get your wrist band. They are small, but they hold a lot. We didn't put a lot of emphasis on collecting candy. At the end of the night, DB's bag was about half full and mine was about 3/4 full. We have a good 3 pounds of candy between us, and my arms were hurting from carrying it around, lol. When I went to the party at DLR a few years ago I had read on here that the bags they give are small and you should bring your own, so I went and bought the cute tote bag style ones all the stores carry. I had so much candy I didn't know what to do with it. Ate a BUNCH, gave pounds away on halloween night at home, and still had leftovers. I'd really suggest just using the bag they give you, unless you'd like to bring home diabetes as a souvenir, lol.

This past sunday we got candy, rode rides, watched the show, parade, and fireworks, and met characters. We never felt rushed or short on time.
