Trick-Or-Treat & Birthday Sweets! Oct 2013 PTR *NEW* 11/4 TR Link Posted!

Totally :)

That sounds like nice weather :) the humidity was only insane the first couple of days. The day we had our pics taken in Epcot omg! I thought I was going to die!!!!! We started at 7:45am and I was dripping with sweat by the end. I started off in white jeans and wound up in my shorts for the day by the end of the shoot. I had other blue jeans to wear for the pics but I just couldn't bring myself to put them on. I sure hope the pics turn out ok.

Ugh yeah the villain event was a nightmare. We only visited DHS once after that and it was only for a few hours. We didn't even get to do characterpalooza or meet buss and woody or a bunch of other characters cause we were so turned off by the villain event. There were over 55k ppl there and they ran out of food!!!! :-O it took us an hour to get back to our resort in the traffic the event created.

Gah, just the thought of jeans in the heat & humidity we are still experiencing in Louisiana too makes me sweat!

That's a shame that the Villains event was so poorly handled, because it was a really great idea in theory. They should have made it limited somehow, even if it wasn't a hard ticket event. Maybe signing up in advance or giving our first come first served wristbands, something to limit it and prevent the utter chaos that resulted.

That stinks that you are missing Hanson by a few days in Disney but it sounds like the concert more than made up for that! I love the picture of you and Paxton in your costumes! I already have a dress perfect for Tinkerbell so when we do the MNSSHP in a few years we will probably be doing the same theme as you :thumbsup2

It's definitely a bummer, especially after seeing them last year and having so much fun! But the full concert was their best I've seen in a LONG time, so that softened the blow of missing them in Disney. :thumbsup2 And it makes it easier to plan my days since I don't HAVE to be in Epcot for two nights in a row when it might work better to be in another park!

Thanks. :goodvibes I am really excited about the Peter Pan theme since Paxton is now SO obsessed with PP. Just disappointed that the first year he really appreciates PP, the ride will be closed for our trip. :(

Love Paxton's new shirt. That is just too cute!

And Yay :cool1: for adding another day to your ticket!

Thanks! I have no idea if the people running the contest do any "research" on the winners (though they may, since I am FB friends with the owner) to see what kind of shirt they might like, but I have to think they do for us to get a Disney themed one!

I'm so excited! pixiedust: I love ending our trips with a park right before heading to the airport.

Well, the Disney World nightmares have started, so that must mean our trip is getting close. 25 more days to be exact! So far, I have dreamed I forgot all of the special shirts I wanted to bring to match my bows. Then I had a dream about a horrible experience trying line up early for Princess Fairytale Hall at MNSSHP. And another one about the Boo To You parade being NOTHING like what it is supposed to be...some characters dressed up like it's the Christmas parade, Mickey being just a head on a regular person body ice skating down Main Street...it was horrible! :lmao: But like I said, the only good thing about the bad dreams is that it means our trip is getting closer!! Anyway, on to the real update...

Monday October 28th

After our late night at the party, we won't have any alarms set for this morning. But I imagine with a 3 year old, we won't be sleeping in THAT late anyway. After breakfast in the room, we will head out to Epcot to spend the morning in Future World.

I'm sure at some point, DH and I will give the new Test Track a try since it was closed during our last trip for the refurb. I gotta say, I'm not particularly excited about it, but I would like to see it for myself. I imagine this might be the only attraction we need to use FP/Rider Switch/Single Rider to accomplish.

Test_Track_attraction_sign.jpg

Everything else we enjoy at Epcot we can enjoy with DS. I imagine we will probably only have enough time to spend in Future World before it is time for a nap, but if we do head into World Showcase, it would probably just be to ride the boat ride in Mexico and maybe see some characters.

After nap time, we will be going to Magic Kingdom!

Hopefully we will be there with enough time to ride a couple of attractions before heading to dinner. Where are we eating? Glad you asked!

Because of DaveInFallsChurch's wonderful generosity, we will be dining with him at Be Our Guest!!!

It didn't even occur to me to try for a BOG ADR because they were so impossible to come by. But Dave managed to snag a table for 4 and kindly invited us to be the other three. pixiedust: I am really excited to get to dine in this restaurant, and for dinner so that we can get the full experience without standing on the bridge for over an hour and we get our picture with the Beast! I can't wait!! Thanks again, Dave! :thumbsup2

After dinner, our only plan is to catch MSEP and Wishes. We watched MSEP from Frontierland last year and enjoyed it, but DH may pick an alternative location so he can get pictures. I'm pretty positive we'll be watching Wishes from Main Street, though!

They extended park hours this night, so hopefully it won't be quite as brutal to leave after Wishes since EVERYONE in the park won't be doing the same thing. Maybe we will share a treat on Main Street and let everyone else filter out before we make our way back to the car. I definitely don't want to stay out too late because we have back to back early mornings coming up to finish off our last two days of the trip!

I think we'll be in EPCOT that Monday as well. It's our first full park day. I want to try Soarin, but my DH doesn't think it will be safe for our 46 inch tall DGD. I'm trying to convince him it is. We'll see. He wants to ease DGD into the rides.

DH thinks EPCOT will be a one day park. And we're already going on Thursday, We won't get there until noon, because of DGD's BBB appointment at DTD.

Will Paxton be tall enough for Soarin?

I'm planning on going to MK the evening of 10/28 too! So if I miss you on the 24th, which I hope not, we can have a backup plan! But now I am starting to have second thoughts about no Halloween party. Of course I am! :faint:

How great that you got an invite to BOG for dinner. That is AWESOME! You are going to love the experience!

Love your pictures!

Ah - pre trip drama. It's always like that, isn't it?

Awww, I got a shout out! :goodvibes

I really should be thanking you three for accepting the invite! And you had to rearrange your park day plans. Plus I get to have some great company AND I won't have to look like a sad middle aged man sitting alone with just his camera. :lmao: Can't wait to meet all of you - can you believe it's been a little over a year since we made our acquaintances here on DIS?

I should really thank my DS for miraculously securing the ADR in late June. It was our third night of our trip to Korea. Thanks to jetlag DS woke up at 2am and decided it was time to play. So I took him out to the living room and while he was playing with his toys I decided to log on to Disney's website and whatdoyaknow, there's an open ADR for BOG staring right at me!! Whoo Hoo!

Are you sure you don't want to watch Wishes with me while running ahem, I mean walking fast, all over Fantasyland? ;)

Some of those bad dreams actually had me :rotfl: Some of them actually would be pretty neat, albeit strange.

That's so great about BOG!!! What a wonderful gesture. The power of the DIS. :thumbsup2

Ok, so I woke up this morning from a Disney dream too. It wasn't good. I was trying to park hop from MK to AK and I couldn't remember where I parked my car. The whole things was just bizarre. I couldn't even remember the general vicinity of where I parked. Perhaps it was because the MK parking lot looked NOTHING like the actual lot in real life. :rotfl: The best part was that in my dream AK and MK were right next to each other. Like DL and DCA are next to each other. So I could have walked over but I kept looking for my car.

And that's on top of the CMs that were jumping on a trampoline in the lobby of AKL. Yes, I need a psychologist to analyze what all this means. :lmao:

Oh no not the Disney nightmares! Most of my dreams have something to do with Disney World these days though, LOL.

No Soarin' at Epcot?! Your Day 7 plans look great... so awesome you'll be doing a DISmeet & eating at BOG!

Less than a month, yay! AH the vacation nightmares, those are no fun :(

Hooray for getting to eat at BOG! And getting to meet the Beast!

Day 7 sounds like it will be great!

Nothing says you're getting close to a trip than the "everything's going wrong with my vacation dream!":rotfl2:

I completely agree about Test Track. I haven't gone on the updated ride since I was pregnant when I last visited, but I've heard it's very Tron-like. That's what my DH said about it, at least. And I'm not a huge Tron fan. But, who knows, it might be really cool.:confused3 We'll both find out soon. :rotfl:

That's fantastic about getting a dinner ressie at BoG with a fellow DISer. I've done a meal with board members, and it can be really fun. And now you don't (or didn't) have to scour and stalk the Dining Reservation page to get one yourself. :goodvibes

I will be on the look out for your family that Monday! :thumbsup2 If you see us first, please say hi!

Paxton won't be tall enough for Soarin' and a lot of other things. :( We were hoping he'd hit 40" by our trip to at least give BTMR a try, but he is just over 38" with his tennis shoes on. There's always next time!

Perfect! It'll be good to have a backup plan, not knowing how our first day at a Disney park and the second day in a row with no nap will go. :rotfl:

I really can't wait for BOG! Hopefully it will be worth the hype.

Awww, I got a shout out! :goodvibes

:thumbsup2 No big deal to rearrange our park plans, considering we are getting a coveted meal at BOG out of the deal. Hopefully we make a good first impression at the party so that Monday night you won't be wondering what you were thinking inviting us to dinner! :lmao: Definitely can't believe it's been a year, but it has been fun following your trips!

As much as I'd like to take you up on your Wishes offer :rolleyes1 I think we will stick with watching from Main Street. :rotfl:

Some of those bad dreams actually had me :rotfl: Some of them actually would be pretty neat, albeit strange.

Definitely strange, but I got a good laugh out of them the next morning (once I realized they weren't real, of course!) :rotfl:

Gotta love that DIS magic. pixiedust:

I always wake up so shaken from those Disney nightmares! That would pretty awesome if the WDW parks were set up like DL and DCA. That is really a perfect setup they have there! If you find a good dream analyzer, ask them why I would always dream about pulling out/losing my teeth! :scared1:

I always have Disney nightmares! Usually it has something to do with getting there and not doing ANYTHING because of one reason or another. We can't leave the room, we forgot the camera and have to go back, etc.

Nah, no Soarin' for us. I know that is sacrilege on these boards, but DH and I are not big Soarin' fans so we don't worry about taking the time to child swap it.

Less than a month, yay! AH the vacation nightmares, those are no fun :(

We are almost down to 3 weeks! The vacation nightmares suck, but they remind me that our trip is getting closer.

I'm really excited to try BOG. And meeting Beast! I hope DS is not scared...Beast is quite intimidating!

You're exactly right on that! Every vacation brings the nightmares, but the Disney ones are definitely the most rampant and upsetting. :rotfl:

I have no interest in Tron or designing my own car, so I'm thinking TT will be a dud for me. But I'm going to give it a try.

So true! Dave did all the hard work. :lmao: But it was incredibly kind of him to include us in his reservation. I'm really excited!

Man y'all are being hard on Dave. From what I can tell he seems like an ok guy.:confused3

:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

Nightmares about Disney... hmm... sorry. My brain just can't get that concept. Even a nightmare about Disney is a good dream. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

Looks like a good plan for a relaxed day after the party. That was awesome of Dave to get an ADR for all of you to BoG! :thumbsup2

DH was initially skeptical about eating at BoG so I didn't kill myself trying to get an ADR and didn't even look because I would have been tempted to book it if it came up. So when I got the message from Dave that he had an ADR for 4, it was like being handed a golden ticket! :goodvibes

Ahh, I hate Disney nightmares!! I am always so panicky during them. :rotfl:

I am really excited to get to try BoG after reading so many TR experiences!!

That's so awesome! We frequently take a day to wear all of our Saints garb, so we are always on the lookout for other Who Dat Nation members. :thumbsup2 And like DH said, he always wears his Saints hat, so if you see us first, say hi!

Lots of firsts for you! I hope you pick a good character for your very first character meet. What a tough decision! :goodvibes Will you be at the same party as us on the 27th?

I think I commented on your bows on Instagram, but yay! They're so cute. Most of her bows she sells are just adorable.

Oh gosh, the Disney nightmares. I get those too before a trip. Basically 'everything that can go wrong, will go wrong.' It's just because we get so excited, I guess!

So awesome that you get to go to Be Our Guest!!!
