The last huge uproar I remember inthe commounity was the change to the disability access card rules, people complaint, some tried to sue.... nothing happened
The
huge uproar was from a very small vocal percentage who overused and took advantage of the program. Many of us who have great need for the pass knew it was being "abused" with overuse, being obtained by folks who did not need it and the program needing adjusting because FP+ had changed the dynamics. Many of us use the new pass with great ease and appreciation for what it accomplishes. Those who complained didn't want to give up their unlimited FP they had become.
The general Disney population wasn't upset by it ........ well maybe those folks asking for passes who really didn't need it.
Our of sheer curiosity, as I've only become active on this forum this year, when was the last time Disney launched something new that caused such a spark in debate - and what was the ultimate result? For example, if the last big change was that all hotel rooms would only have 1 ply toilet paper and not 2 ply (I am making this up, guys), people complained... what did Disney do about it if anything?
FASTPASS+ and the elimination of legacy FastPass ............ THE WORLD WAS COMING TO AN END!!!
I think this is so much deeper than many previous issues, particularly when you throw health issues into the mix.
It hasn't happened at Fort Wilderness since they've been pet friendly.
COMPLETELY different than a hotel, and maybe that is why they should just make all the cabins dog friendly and keep all dogs in the campground. At least they are detached and have small gaps between them.
Dogs are allowed on site loops meaning you bring your own RV or tent. The person coming behind you is not worried about dog souvenirs in their room since they bring their own. Campers are totally used to being around dogs since many folks choose that vacation style because they can bring their dogs.
The REAL dog relief areas will be anywhere and everywhere the dogs happen to be when they need to go Those maps are a joke!
That was my concern at POR, AB section, the areas are on the far side of the parking lots from the resort buildings. Let's say Fifi has been in the room for 6 hours and 59 minutes. Will she make it to the relief area? Or just the lawn outside the room or next to my rental car in the lot.
Waiting for actual first hand reports to make my decision. Also, I need to know if it becomes permanent. I don't check in until after the trial.
SO TRUE. I think my little ones whole body is a giant bladder but even at the end of 7 hours (daytime, he fine's all night) ... I'm lucky if he gets off the 2nd front step before he's peeing on the sidewalk. I come back after 7 hours of him locked in a strange room .... he'll make it as far as the first blade he sees.
The joke is them telling people there will be no rooms by some of these potty stops .... so you think a dog will walk that far from their room holding it just for that spot. No, so that makes the spot useless ........ which means dogs will be staying close to those rooms at some point.
Think about it, many dogs bark when they hear or see other dogs. My one dog can see out the windows there so if there are any out there she will bark, then my little will bark. What will work best for Disney is spread them around .....
