TRex Cafe -- when is it opening??

I read somewhere that there was going to be a TRex Cafe opening at Downtown Disney.....Does anyone know when it is supposed to open??

My boys love dinosaurs!!

Hi there! I have a friend who worked at the TRex in Kansas City and he said that TRex-Orlando is still just in planning stage. In fact from what he was telling us, he thinks its going to be closer to Universal Studios, but nothing's been decided yet.
And it may not be for a couple of years, or more before they finally make up their minds.

I read that the TRex would be at Downtown Disney. This will be fun when it opens.

I believe that it already under construction in the parking lot next to McDonald's.

I wrote Steve Schussler directly actually and got a response.
R-Rex is going to be in Downtown Disney ( I believe next to the McDonald's ). and they are hoping to have it done and open for summer 2008

Hmmm...I don't think your friend is quite up on his information...

I just went to the T-Rex site http://www.trexcafe.com/Main/Findus.html and it says that they are "coming soon to Downtown Disney Marketplace." Obviously, I can't wait for this one to open, too. How can I not try a restaurant called T-Rex!?!?!?
