We are going to be on the Norwegian Fjord and Iceland cruise next year and I am thinking of taking a couple of the hikes as some of my excursions. Has anyone taken their telescoping trekking poles along and did Disney allow you to take them on board? One of the items listed as NOT allowed are ski poles which trekking poles are very similar.

However, my wife has a telescoping Leki cane that has a similar carbide tip to it; but keeps covered with a rubber tip. And this was allowed on board. Anyone try taking trekking poles on-board and were you able to?

My wife and I use a single trekking pole each, like it better than a cane. Disney has never stopped us from boarding. We do have rubber tips over the carbide one, since we are using it inside and out. No one has ever stopped us, museums, airports, etc.

I would imagine we would be stopped if we left the carbide tip exposed, that will do damage.
