We will be staying at the treehouse villas in May 2026, does anyone have update on their refurbishment? We have never stayed in the treehouse area,so how long is the walk to the Grandstand area? We will have a car but thought we could walk to Grandstand bus stop instead of taking internal bus route. Thanks for any info

I cannot answer on the refurbishment schedule but I can answer the other questions! We stay at the treehouses often and love them. The walk is about 5 min to the grandstand bus stop if you stay on the side closer to the grandstand area. The walk is not bad at all. We personally do not like the internal buses since they take a little longer to reach the treehouses with fewer running and then you still have to get off at the springs. Looking at the map, the rooms to choose from would be anything on the golf course side. I would suggest requesting staying at those particular rooms if you desire a shorter walk.

What does it look like if you dont have a car for the tree house? Extremely long walk to the bus stop?

This is very helpful, thank you 😀 Does the boat transportation just go to disney springs and the bus transportation is for the internal bus loop?
The boat stops at the Carriage House (SSR) and then continues on to Disney Springs.

The bus is internal and takes you over to the main resort (SSR).

Would also love an update on the refurbishment.
We stayed at the treehouses a couple of weeks ago. The one we stayed in had not been refurbished, but they were working on the one that was 2 up from us. I thought it was a pretty cool place to stay. If you want grocery delivery, they'll bring it to bell services up at the main SS building. They'll take care of it for you until you can come get it - they have refrigerated areas, so no need to worry about the cold stuff going bad.

In this thread, you can see the layout of the Treehouses. When we were there a couple of weeks ago, we stayed in 7004, which is about as far away from the Grandstand bus stop as you can get. 7004 is literally just inside of the entrance gate to the Treehouses. I timed it - it took us 13 minutes to get to the Grandstand stop. Not a bad walk at all. We did grab the internal bus a couple of times, mainly when we had groceries to walk back with and when we were heading out for our flight. I talked to the driver about the timings since we were the only folks on the bus - they'll run every 25-30 minutes. They usually end up sitting at the Springs stop for 5-8 minutes to get back on schedule since they can make the loop around the Treehouses pretty quickly. They also don't have a timing board at either of the Treehouse bus stops, so it's a guessing game a lot of the time. If you see a bus heading out about the time you start out the door, I'd recommend the walk to the Grandstand as you'll have a pretty good wait on it to come back. And at night, it's VERY well lit, so nothing to worry about there.
