I have been looking at the treehouse villas for my next trip not sure when yet but am wondering a few things.

first has anyone stayed there and what did you think.

next can you walk from them to the main resort and how long does it take.

how ofton do the busses come thru and are they easy to get to from the villas.

and anything else that I can learn about them would help.

I stayed here last night! I'm local so I did a quick girls night bachelorette party evening at the resort and it's really nice. The whole treehouse is a bit dark.. but it's part of the ambience. I opened all the curtains and it was nice. It's kinda upscale camping. Beautiful bathrooms! The beds are queens and not kings (and bunks of course) but the kitchen is huge and very nice!!!

You can walk to the main resort. Depending on where you are, it can be close or a bit far.

We were at the closest tree house to the street. So as far as you can get to the pool / walkway to main building. It would take about 15 minutes to walk to SSR - it's a nice walk...

The busses seemed to run pretty frequently. I took the bus to DTD and waited maybe 10 minutes. You can also take the boat over.. really nice and the walkway is halfway between all the treehouses. HTH>

I'm really interested too. We are considering a trip in early 2012 with another family (it will be 4 adults, 11yo G, 8yo B and 7yo G). SSR is our home (and we love it!), but we haven't seen the treehouses yet. I'm thinking about staying there, but have some concerns. We love Congress Park for easy acces to DTD--how much further would we be (still walkable?). Do they have their own park bus, or have they added one to the SSR loop? Any other comments or photos are greatly appreciated :)
