Treehouse villas

This picture was taken the last week in October through a Disney bus window! We were delayed going to DTD because something was blocking the road. As we finally made our way past, here is what we saw!! This will give you a better idea of the deck size! Also, you can see a roof in front of the deck. :thumbsup2

We were at SSR last week and caught glimpses of the treehouses but didn't have time to take a boat ride by. I'm wondering how they will work out transportation. Will the treehouse villas have their own bus stop?

You might be a DVC redneck if your villa was trucked in in pieces.......:happytv: :rotfl2:

Being from Texas we see alot of those wide loads going down the road. Also, lately I have seen a ton of the windmill blades being shipped somewhere.......

Thanks so much for the pics :thumbsup2 We're really looking forward to staying there.
Does any one know when we can start booking. I asked MS and they said they haven't been notified as to when they can start taking reservations.

Feb 8th for SSR owners, 2 weeks later for everyone else. They will be available June 1, 2009.

When can SSR owners book at THV's???

Rumor has it that Feb. 8, 2009 is when bookings will open for the THVs. I just made reservations for a dedicated 2BR @ SSR this morning. I will probably call Feb. 8 to attempt to change to a THV for our November trip. I'll still be before the 7 month window, so I may have a shot.

Time will tell...

The interiors (as pictured in the DVC Files magazine that just came) don't appeal to me very much. They said they had considered a kind of woods-fantasy decor (I picture something Tinkerbell might like), and rejected it. I wish they gone in that direction. Much more magical than another version of the Fort Wilderness look, IMO.

My first trip to WDW as a kid was at one of the treehouses and I loved it! I can't wait to try one of these!

Waiting to book our November 2009 trip!!! I am hoping to get a THV... The only thing I am concerned about is the queen size bed in the master bedroom??:santa:

Thanks for the pictures! We are looking forward to someday staying there with a big group of friends, it's going to be awesome!

the last ones were upstairs and downstairs were they not?...are these the same? Has anyone gone to see the models? do they have finished models so people can view them? :confused3

We are at SSR now and we have a great view of the THV
We walked over today and they look Great!
We are in the GS in the far bldgs and there is a path that goes behind to the Treehouses. So the walk won't be much further than the last 2 bldgs of the GS
Can't wait to book!

I wonder how the bus transportation to theme park's gonna be like. I'm already not fond of current SSR buses- 5 stops - Will the Tree house get their own bus route ?

I have a THV booked for Nov. 1 - Nov. 5 for my anniversary. I am most worried about transportation since we will not have a car. I can't wait though!

I did the tour of the DVC models on Thurs night (2/5)......here's some video I took of THV for you all. It was a little crowded around this model, so forgive the quality of the video. But gives you an idea of the interior setup and decor. Very nice :
