We are booked in two Lake View studios from March 2-7 and a THV at SSR from March 11-13. We just changed the days in the middle from BLT to a Carnival Cruise.

Because of that, we now have some extra points which we can use for this trip or bank them by the end of the month.

I am contemplating staying in the THVs for the 1st part of the trip as well. We love the convenience and location of BLT, but I think the THVs would be good b/c of space, kitchen, laundry etc.

Our party is 2 adults in studio one + 2 adults & 2 kinds (9 & 14) in the other studio. The 2 adults in the studio alone have never been to Disney before. We had been discussing doing DDP for the 1st part of the trip, but if we get the THV we won't.

I need help deciding!!! What are your opinions on THVs? Are they a pain to get back & forth to the parks? We will have a van.

If you are expecting the 2 kids to share the room with the bunk bed, beware that the bunk bed is a bit short. If the 14 year old is taller than 5 foot tall, it might be pretty uncomfortable. If the 14 year old is willing to use the pull out sleeper sofa, then it shouldn't be any problem at all.

THV had a point increase that make them more expensive than a 2 bedroom. They are remote, very quiet, and similar to being in the mountains. Disney transportation isn't the greatest and you are some distance from check in, food, and activities at SSR.

We stayed in the THV last October, and while we loved it for a non-park relaxing trip, it wouldn't be our choice for a parks trip. Since you'll have a vehicle (as we did) you'd be fine, but I think I'd stick with your original plan. Spend a few days with easy access to MK and EP, especially for the people who are on their first WDW trip, and then by the end of your trip when your feet are tired and you just want to relax more, the THV will be perfect.

We loved the THV. :thumbsup2 They're so amazing. We had only one day with transportation issues but so did everybody else that day at Blizzard Beach. It had nothing to do with SSR or the THV.

We found them fun and relaxing and such a treat to stay in. My 15 y/o and 11 y/o had no issues with the bunk beds, they were plenty big. They appear to be a standard bunk bed.

Good luck on your decision. :goodvibes

Thanks everyone for the input. We decided to leave BLT as is for now (hoping a 2bdrm will open up before our banking deadline), and a 2 bdrm just opened up at VFWL for the last two days so we switched our ressie to there. I think we are going to be parking it every day, so THV sound like they may be a better option another trip. Too bad though, I really wanted to try them,
