Treehouse Villas model planned?

Just wondering if anyone knows whether or not Disney plans on building a model for THV the way that they have for AKV and BLT at SSR, and if anyone out there (besides myself) would be interested in one. I understand that Disney really doesn't want to break the bank with only 60 THV units, especially with AKV and BLT, but I for one am very eager to see what they will look like.

As it is not a new Resort, just another phase of SSR, I would be extremely surprised if they go to that much trouble. They will likely just use them in marketing materials to pitch SSR sales.

It's going to give a whole new set of points to sell at SSR which is sold out currently, right? I mean, they'd be crazy to just "give" the treehouses to SSR as a resort and not sell them.

I'd bet that they will have the first accessiable one as the "demo" and you'll just golf cart over there from the sales center if you're considering buying points at SSR and want to see it. Technically, that's where your ownership would be and even existing SSR owners (and other DVCers) are going to want to see them.

I doubt they'll build one at the sales center but I'd be willing to bet there will be one available for touring.

Just my $0.02.

As I understand it its is attached to SSR no extra points just books out as 2/3 bedroom as far as points. No extra sales involved.:thumbsup2

Yes, once the THV are declared as part of SSR, DVC will have some more SSR points to sell.

I tend to agree that Disney probably won't go to the extent of building a model at the sales center, but I still maintain that people interested in buying into SSR are going to want to see the whole resort, THV included. Hopefully they will designate the first finished unit as a model, and allow both potential buyers as well as members access to it. Seems reasonable enough.

Did someone use the word "giveaway" in reference to disney....:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Not sure they'll need a model when it looks like a few of them are in place already except for the decks. Looks like they come in three or four piece modular units from the view I got from the golf course.

But aren't those points going to be declared into SSR inventory so they will be actively selling SSR again?

Does anyone know (remember) the day that member services will start booking THV reservations? I want to book a 2 bedroom SSR for this summer and try to call the morning that THV becomes available and "switch" my reservation.

It's rumored to be February 8th for SSR owners, but there has not yet been a formal announcement or posting on the member website.

There is also RUMOR TALK that those who have recently bought SSR points since the announcement of the Treehouses will have the 11 mos. ressie advantage. All other prior SSR point contracts will have 7 mos. ressie times. Again, RUMOR TALK, but this is very interesting. If this would infact come to fruition, this would cause quite a stir.:sad2:

From where did this rumor arise? This is the first time I've heard this!!

LOL! Someone has too much time on their hands!

Wouldn't be legal. Once declared into the SSR condo association, all owners have equal rights regardless of which unit they own.

Don't believe all the rumors, from what I've been told they are part of SSR and will sell and book like all other SSR inventory and book at the grand villa level, which is basically what they are. SSR had a shortage of grand villas and THV is a great way to fill the void. Depending which villa you get it's not to far from the CH. Until we get some grand children I doubt if I'll be using them but I would like to take a peak inside one.

Treehouse villa points will be the same as all SSR points, no advanatage for someone who's ownership interest may be designated as having an advanatage of booking those units. That would be the same as someone who is technically owning a part of a MK view at BLT would have a better chance of getting MK view.

As far as a model, nothing at sales center....just like there are no models of GV's there. The square footage would be way too much and would not be easy to mock up. I could see them temporarily allowing tours of one of the units when it is completed, but I would bet that it would be turned over to bookings because they wouldn't want to keep it held back (they would have to retain it in DVC inventory and not sell those points).

Have they been declared into inventory?
