Up bright and early for our early magic hour at Animal Kingdom. Went straight for Expedition Everest which was fab. It was so quiet that the kids went straight back on and rode again. Next was mine and Lisa's favourite ride at Animal Kingdom, Dinosaur. Again it was a walk on. Next stop was this
and had a quick photo here
We then made our way to the Jungle Trek and met eeyore and tigger on the way
Kirsty took a photo of the bats but they were not as big as I remember them from last July
We had great fun looking out for the tigers. We then head for the festival of the Lion King and stop for a photo on the way
Finally we find something new which we had not done before. Everyone enjoyed the show. We meet up with Terry and Sara straight after and go to camp minnie and mickey to meet the characters whilst Mark and Maurice go and get fastpasses for Kali River Rapid ride.
We meet loads of characters starting with Donald
then Thumper and his girlfriend
We also meet Rafiki
We head over to the Rainforest Cafe to have lunch and meet up with Mark and Maurice. The kids order a slushy drink which comes in a frog!
We had hoped they would still be serving breakfast but we had to settle for lunch and most of us had burgers. As always we enjoyed the atmosphere
We now make our way back into the park to do tough to be a bug followed by the river ride as our fastpasses are now due.
Here we are before we get wet
We have a great time on this and Sara, Terry, Kirsty and Mark get the wettest. I have my spare dress to put on after so feel nice and dry!
It is now very busy and decide to leave the park and went back to the Treehouse via the liquor store as we are running low on supplies.
We arrange to meet Terry and Sara for dinner at the Treehouse as we know we are going to feel too stuffed to go out tonight but just have some picky bits in the Treehouse instead.
We spend the afternoon lazing on the terrace with absolute radio on the internet drinking cocktails. The kids and possibly some adults went to the pool. After their swim Kirsty, Jack and Megan take the boat to downtown disney to go to the shops to spend their dollars they got for Christmas. Kirsty bought a duffy bear with a french outfit, Megan bought more clothes for her dino and Jack got a surprise toy story vinylmation which turns out luckily to be woody
Terry and Sara come round with loads of goodies including TGIs popcorn chicken and cheesy jalapinos and we have a great night in drinking and eating
