I thinking about taking my niece and sis in law along with three of my kids for a quick trip when school gets out next summer. There will be either 7 or 8 of us. Thinking about TreeHouse Villas as it will hold all of us and the points are decent. I have stayed at SSR so I know where they are, do you need to get over to SSR to get park busses? I imagine the only restaurants close are Turf Club or over at DTD.

Obviously in early planning stages, would like to get thoughts!

Stayed at THV last Easter and LOVED :lovestruc them! Was much different than we are used to, it was very quiet, really out of the way. You have to take an internal SSR shuttle to get from Treehouses to catch the park busses, but I really didn't think that was an issue at all. In fact once you get the hang of it it really is not much of an problem.

As for restaurants, you are correct. You take the internal shuttle to the Springs section of the resort and go to the turf club and Artist's Pallette, or you can jump over to Downtown Disney. When we went to DTD we actually took the water taxi, there is a water taxi stop right in the middle of the Treehouses.

Have a great trip, you will love the THV's!!! :thumbsup2

We just walked the 5 minutes to the Grandstand bus stop. It was quicker then taking the two buses.

We stayed in a treehouse for a week in March, and can't say anything bad about it. The bedrooms will hold 4 adults (2 per room) plus 2 kids (bunk beds), so it you have more, you'll be using the pullouts in the living room.

The treehouse pool is an added bonus. Nice and isolated, and had some shade, which is essential in the heat.

Transportation wise, the combination of boats to DTD and buss system works a lot better than expected. Never had an issue, and it's not that far a walk to the main lobby if you're in the mood.

Another suggestion for food is to order some to be delivered (we used Garden Grocer). Breakfasts are so much cheaper this way, and we even BBQed one night (make sure you order charcoal).

Any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. I'd recommend the treehouses highly.

All I can say is GO. They are outstanding. Have fun planning! ;)

The master bedroom will have a queen bed and a connected bathroom. The second bedroom will have a queen bed. The third bedroom will have a set of bunk beds. The living room will have a queen sleeper sofa and a twin sized sleeper chair. There is another bathroom for the other guests to share.

The bedrooms are kind of small. That's why no king bed and only bunks in the third bedroom.

Yes, all of your "services" are at SSR. You can easily walk over to the park busses (as PP suggested). The THV's are definitely peaceful and you won't feel like you are rushed or in a hurry.....just a good relaxing vacation. It does not compare to any other DVC (which is why you will have some love it and some hate it).

We check in to the treehouses on sunday, and I can't wait!!! We're normally FW cabin lovers, but have 8 people this time going, too many for the cabin, so we got the next best thing, and I can't wait!!!!!! I'll come back and let you know how it goes!

Where would Garden Grocer deliver to? The bell desk over at SSR? Thanks:thumbsup2

Hey Guys, The bedrooms are kind of small. That's why no king bed and only bunks in the third bedroom.
