Ok, mystery solved. The unique thing about this room is that it includes a private hallway inside, which leads to the actual stateroom. The wonderful thing about this is that you still have complete privacy when the stateroom door is open, unlike all the other rooms where the door opens directly into the cabin itself. My adult daughter and I were traveling together on this trip and we used the hallway as a changing area, plus to house the plethora of shoes we each brought.
There are many pros to the room:
1) It doesn't share walls with any staterooms on the sides, so you don't get noise from other travelers and you don't have to worry about disturbing other travelers.
2) It's pretty conveniently located near the aft elevators and very easy to find since it's the only door to the right in the hallway.
3) All the usual perks (lots of storage, beautiful theming (Encanto), super comfy beds, etc)
4) The interior hallway would be VERY useful for small kids to play safely out of the way. It's a quite nice size of open floor space.
The possible downsides:
1) The couch is positioned at the foot of the bed and there's no curtain to separate the areas like in a typical cabin.
2) There's crew area next door and very seldomly, we could hear a supply door shutting when someone was in there. It was only maybe three times on our 7 night cruise and always during waking hours.
3) It only sleeps three, since there's no pull-down bunk over the couch.
We loved this room and would book it again for sure!
