Hi all, I'm a long time reader, but first time poster. Flying to CDG to stay in Disney for 2 nights in New York tomorrow morning. Me, DH and the two Kids, Girl 6 and boy 3.

Obviously we are on tender hooks with the whole strike situation. This will be our first trip to the Parks with the kids. Myself and the hubby were there in 2002 on a day trip from Paris.

I booked the trip in March as my DH had just gotten a job after been out of work for almost a year and we wanted something to look forward to, so hopefully all will go smoothly. The kids don't know yet so they think they are going to school/playschool tomorrow so at least they should sleep well.

I was sick with worry yesterday when I heard about the strike on Tuesday but the first good sign was that our flight wasn't cancelled, so now I'm thinking it will turn out ok.

We are using the ezyshuttle transfer and I emailed John today that we are still coming .. hopefully things will be ok on his side and he will be able to bring us to Disney. I'm going to look into the buses/trains this evening just in case.

Please send us your positive thoughts that all will go well. I'm nearly scared to get too excited. :scared1:

Fingers crossed for an uneventful journey, and a lovely holiday! :wizard:

We head over on Sunday, so I am hoping the rumours about the eurotunnel joining the strike are unfounded!

Sending lots of :wizard: to you, hope you're not too disrupted tomorrow and that you have a fantastic trip. :goodvibes

Have a wonderful and magical trip and i hope everything goes well :cloud9:

Best of luck to you, hope your trip goes smoothly and you have a fantastic time :wizard::wizard::wizard:

Lots of luck to you! Hope it all goes well...and what a lovely surprise for your kids! Hotel New York is amazing, you will love it :wizard::lovestruc

Thanks all,

Just got an email from ezyshuttle and they will be there to collect us, so yey! :yay:

I chose hotel New York after reading all the wonderful reviews on this site. This board has been so helpful in deciding what to do.

We have the half board plus vouchers included and I've booked our dinner tomorrow evening in the Parkside diner. The second night we play to go to annettes. We are not going to go for a character meal this time around as my kids get put off there food by the slightest thing and I think that the excitment of Disney will be enough without adding the characters at meal times :)

I got down the halloween decorations in our house last week and my little boy didn't eat properally for 2 days as he was sooo excited. Needless to say that is why we couldn't tell them before they go. Can't wait to tell them tomorrow though.

Our Flight is at 7am so its an early start, we will be up at 4am . The kids are going to have a ball, My girl (6) is always pointing out the ads on tv and I've always said that Ill take her when she is older... and thats tomorrow :dance3:

As you can see I'm beginning to get excited.

We have no definite plans on what to do in the parks but the Fantasy land will be the first port of call, especially the dragon under the castle as I've told my girl that its one of the only living fire breathing dragons left in the world !!!

Then we will do a bit of halloween (Frontier Land) and definitely Toy Story play land.:woohoo:
