Fingers crossed for you
If things turn out as you hope, do take notice of the signs that advise not for expectant Moms - I always wondered why they couldn't ride some of those that I thought were gentler, but apparently it can be to do with the seating position etc too.
Sorry- don't mean to come across 'preaching' but I may have been tempted until I read about it.
I can't help as I went the other end of my pregnancy 32/33 weeks and had a problem free easy pregnancy! However I did come home pregnant before that!
Some rides are safe but as its a first pregnancy I would be temped to leave it until your trip. Some of my friends have had awful morning (all day) sickness and I couldn't imagine walking round the parks like that. You also get tired very quickly.
If she does end up pregnant before you go just remember to drink lots on the plane as you get dehydrated really easily. Also wear flights socks even though they are ugly
Good luck![]()
catherine said:I had terrible sickness with both my DDs and had to be hospitalised more than once! My oldest DD just had her baby girl and was sick throughout the pregnacy up to and including labour ( thankfully it stopped for a while during delivery). She was admitted into hospital 5 times. There's no way I or her would have been able to go anywhere never mind WDW!
Has anyone got any experience of travelling to WDW in the early stages of pregnancy?
How did you manage the flight and the trip?
TIA
My first pregnancy I was fine in the second term but rough as hell first and last three months. WDW would have been out of the question. Second I was really rough the first twelve weeks then sailed through. You just can't tell.
I'd say this though ( and not to be a kill joy). If your wife needed a hospital for some reason during pregnancy, where would you like to be?
There are other holidays just for once maybe?
Everyone is different and each pregnancy is different. My second was totally different to my first.
I still went to WDW during both pregnancies. Last time was last May when i was about 18 weeks and it was scorching hot. First time was around 15 weeks and late Nov so a lot cooler. And if shes more comfortable with US healthcare then i dont see it as a problem as you've already said how careful you'll be.
Unless she has alot of nausea then im sure she would be fine. Lots of water and lots of high energy snacks etc. Sure its harder but i still enjoyed my trips.
Your flying PE arent you? That was the only thing i struggled with in May - flying home in Economy with a toddler trying to sleep on me![]()
