Hi, we have booked our cruise with an american ta, were not going untill may 2005, but I like to be prepared, does anybody know what document's we will need ?
There are big change's in the uk regarding travelling to america and the way the visa's are going to be issued, will we need birth certificate's driving licence as well as our passports ?

If you bring your passports, you shouldn't need a birth certificate or driver's license. I'd check the US Embassy London's website to make sure. There's a link on the left-hand side of the page titled "Do I need a visa?" which will probably answer most of your questions.

I live in the UK and traveled on DCL in 2002.

I was concerned through various posts about the I/D required.

It would help if you have a Photo D/L as well as your passport.

The reason is they take your passport at the terminal on arrival and do not give it back until 6.00am ( yes early) on the last day.

However they did take into account UK needs and in fact copied our passport Photo page on request, certified it and we used that to get on and off at each port with the Key to the world card.

This appled to UK residents only.
