Hi all,

We've always used TC on holiday (although this time I'm thinking of using Ffax). As we won't be taking as much money as normal because all our food's covered, we're kinda wondering where we'll be able to cash our TC.

My question is, has anyone been able to cash them at a Disney resort?

We've always been able to do this at the concierge at offsite hotels but not sure what Disney policy is.

Also, I've heard some places don't take FairFx, has anyone has experience of places that don't. Has anyone used it to pay your Disney KTTW charges?

I'm thinking if I'm gonna use Fairfx, I might load some $$ on while the rate's a little better. If anyone has a crystal ball, knowing if the $$ rate's gonna rise would be nice too :rotfl:

Thanks guys :goodvibes

You can cash TC pretty much everywhere in WDW, we have always used them and have never had a problem. :goodvibes

Yeah, we've found that before too. We're you ever able to cash them at the front desk (ie without buying anything). It's just, we're most likely going to want the odd drink from the carts in WDW and I wouldn't have thought they'd take them (although we've never tried).

I think we're a little wary of using Fairfax as we're really only going to want bits and pieces.

:)

I've cashed TCs at the front desk of the Contemporary Resort before - although admittedly that was 17 years ago now. :lmao:

I have read on another forum that somebody used their FairFx card to cover their KTTW charges so you should be fine with that.

Why not do what we do and take the bulk of your money on FairFx and just withdraw $500 at a time which makes the $2 charge easier to swallow.

17 year - are you trying to say I'm behind the times? :lmao:

We were thinking of doing that with Fairfax (tbh I think $2 is very reasonable) but now were on DDP, I don't think we'll be taking a lot of spends. I'm probably only gonna do $3-400 and my parents will probably take only a little more than that.

To get a slightly better dollar rate though, I'm not sure whether paying off the KTTW with FF might be a good idea - most of what we spend is probaby gonna be in Disney anyway.

Decisions, decisions.... :rotfl2:

Thanks for the help :)
