Travellers cheques came in wrong name

Can anyone help me ?
I ordered my T.Cs from TTT moneycorp in London. When they arrived they were in the name of ALICE Lyons - my name is ALEX Lyons.
I phoned to tell them this, and was told to just sign them all anyway, and they would get on to American Express to let them know of the name change. Later that day I received an e mail from TTT to confirm that it had all been changed over with American Express, and everything was ok.
Now, I feel a little uneasy about the whole thing. I'm worried that when I'm over there something is going to go wrong with them.
Is there anything I can do ?

I would call American Express help line that comes with your TC to confirm what they have told you at TTT.

To be honest I would want AMEX to be happy with the details than TTT as it will AMEX you'll call if anything happens.

What would happen if you were asked for ID when cashing the cheques (unlikely but may happen)?

I would have thought that Amex would change them for you.

Hi alex,
I had the same thing happen to me a couple of years ago, and i made them re issue the cc. It was just as well as i was asked a couple of times for id and with the misspelt name they would not have cashed them.

Hi,
Have your cheques got your name printed on them?
Last time I ordered Amex cheques they came blank and I had to write my own name on then countersign when I cashed it.
If yours are the same who would know that the name they were allocated to and your name are different, as long as the signatures match.
