Traveling with reservations and Online Check in

We are staying at POR in late February 2019. We have two river view rooms reserved. The cast member linked the reservations, designating them as “traveling with.” Should I still use online check in for both reservations or should I call the reservation line a week in advance and check in when we arrive (around noon)? I fear using online check in may reduce my chance of getting connecting rooms . . .

Online checkin only gets some of the paperwork out of the way. It doesn’t affect room assignments (as long as you leave the room request section blank, if it’s there). You do need to check in for both rooms.
