traveling with multiples!!

Thanks for everyone's help. I think I will go ahead and pay her $8 an hour. That seems to be the average around here. I am so glad I don't live on the east coast...babysitters are sure expensive!!

Thanks again for all your help! Hope everyone has a great day! :sunny:

hi all,
Just want wish everyone a Great father's day weekend...

What is the height requirement for the rides at the parks for example test track , star tours etc...and have anyone of you taken your kids on these rides?????

Kritter, here is a list from Deb Wills' site: http://allearsnet.com/tp/rr.htm

My kids always liked rides, just about any and all. As soon as they were tall enough, they rode. Probably the scariest ride for them was Tower of Terror when they were very young - my son was afraid of the "ghostly people" and my daughter wasn't sure what to expect with the "elevator falling", but once they rode a few times they loved it. :wizard:

Thanks for the great web site.....

Hi all
just wanted to stop by and say hello, wish everyone a good weekend. Busy as usual here, hope everyone is doing well

How are you feeling?
the cruise was fantastic. the kids LOVED the club (my Zach had a little separation issues, but he does for school also) The staff was fantastic. The activities were great too. My kids especially loved the Snow White, Alice and Lilo and Stitch visits. We didn't do anyone organized tours and just went to the beach on each island. The beaches were great for the kids, calm water. Even my dd who can be a little chicken was in the ocean. The shows are not to be missed, first rate. I will post some pics.

I've posted a few times already, but didn't know there was a special multiples thread. So thought I'd join and introduce myself. I'm Tracy mom to frat twin boys 6. Though I had many trips to WDW as a kid with my mom and one with just my husband for a first anniversary, last month was the first time for my boys. They loved it so much that the day after we got home they asked when we could go again. I queitly thought the same. :thumbsup2 I booked my trip first then spent the next month lurking here and other sites to update myself on the Mouse, where to shop, where to eat, where to find the best deals. Got the best advise from you guys and Mousesavers. Saved a ton on our trip and still visit here to find ideas on how to best buget and earn a little on the side for a bigger trip next year. We missed the SWW by 2 weeks (ashamed to admit I didn't know about them until AFTER I booked cheap seats and couldn't justify the hundreds extra to change them) so that's my goal for next year..... assuming of course they are held again. Being the 30th anniversary I sure hope so!! Mickey and Vader..... my two favorite people. :teeth:

So that's my story. Keep up the great work here. I am a WDW newbie but I hope with the right planning we can make it an annual event.

regards

Hello everyone! I'm real excited, I just ordered our MVMCP tickets for November 30! :yay: Can't wait until it gets here. We're having our big party today. Today my oldest son turns SEVEN and on Tuesday the twins turn FIVE, gosh they grow up so fast! Have a great day everyone and pamper daddy today too!!

Welcome, Tracy!! :welcome:

Kristen, I'm sorry you're still not feeling well. I'm just getting over double lobe pneumonia myself. Man, it's scary when you can't breathe and your heart is racing! :faint: I feel for you. I hope you feel better soon and am keeping you in my prayers. :grouphug:

P.S. Planning for Disney is a nice distraction, isn't it? pixiedust:

My two are finishing up 2nd grade tomorrow. Hard to believe, too, it really does go by so fast!! :duck:

This was from last October but my husband was fooling around with the color. :wizard:

Any special plans for the summer??
Planning for Disney is a GREaT distraction and I love all of the planning...

Have you ever done the dining plan?? We are signed up to do it this time and just wondering anyones thoughts on it!!!!!!

We did the Dining Plan last year. We got to go to a lot of restaurants we wouldn't ordinarily have gone to. And in that way it was great fun. :thumbsup2

Two things that made us decide that we won't do it again, though. 1) The need to stay on a schedule in order to keep ADRs (which must be made so far in advance). We like to stick to a plan pretty much but we found there were times we wanted to change a bit but really couldn't because we had reservations somewhere which couldn't easily be changed. And 2) there was way more food than we're used to eating and we gained weight after that trip!! :crowded: Healthwise, it's important for both DH and I to eat properly and for us, it was just too much, we'd rather just eat as we go and not feel like we have to eat.

We also can get some really good discounts at the Swan/Dolphin so for us it works out well to go there without the dining plan.

I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with it. :wizard:

That is what I am afraid of the whole weight thing..I am sooo careful with what I eat etc....
Then we are cruising after our six days in WDW>.....need I say any more......

Then we are cruising after our six days in WDW
I hear ya!! :rotfl: There is so much food on the ship... If you want to try to keep your lunch relatively healthy, try the wrap sandwiches and salad at Scoops, they're sooo good!! :thumbsup2

We leave in three weeks for MK and cruise and DD's have stopped going #2 on potty. The girls did very well the first couple of weeks then stopped. :confused3 No accidents when we go out to do fun stuff, just at home. They still will peepee in the potty. Any advice? The only thing I've come up with is just stay gone all the time, unfortunately my budget will not last as long as they do.

Glad to see everyone is doing and feeling better.

LisaGoeke, I have been trying to figure out where I know your DH from. Some possibiltys are, I was a firefighter at St Charles City several years ago, Teach at St John's Mercy and attend church at O'fallon Christian Church, any ideas?

medic2707, you've peaked my curiosity! You probably do know my husband! He works for Sisters of Mercy in the server group. He's office is in the old Safeco building in Sunset Hills. Does he know you? Small world! Is your wife a member of St. Louis MOTC?

medic2707: Bribery!!!! When my boys were little they just wouldn't stop what they were doing to go to the bathroom. I finally bribed them. I used chocolate chips. Every time they went, they got one choc. chip. It ended up working. You could use quarters to spend at WDW or just about anything to get them to REMEMBER to take the time to go. It is all worth a try! Have a great trip!

Hope everyone is enjoying summer!

DH got a job last week (thanks for all the p & pd) so we're off to WDW in October thanks to a free timeshare week and incredibly cheap airfare on AA. Now to MNSSHP or not? DH and I are not into dressing up at all, but the girls might enjoy it. Of course we do have our Mickey and Minnie costumes....naw, DH would kill me!

Hope everyone is feeling better and able to enjoy the nice weather!

Congrats on the new job. What a relief! Now you can go to WDW and really enjoy yourselves. :cool1:

Congrats that is awesome when are you going????
