traveling with multiples!!

Actually, I am adopted and I have felt ever since I was little that I was a twin and my other half was adopted somewhere else. My original birth certificate doesn't support this but then there were many cover-ups that long ago. I seriously (as a child) told my friends stories about my twin being lost!

I would love to hear if you find out when the baby is born also. What a wonderful thing to do. You deserve a special blessing!

Karla,
I am adopted tooo!!!!!

Hi all, I hope it is o.k. to post here. I am a mom to twins that are now 7 years old. We are going to Disney in Nov for our first time. I had heard about this site and thought I could start gathering info for our trip. I have no idea really what to expect. Well, hope everyone has a fun weekend and I look forward to learning more about WDW. Thanks.

Welcome, Carrie! :welcome: Of course you can post here! Just about all of us are somehow related to multiples. I'm sure you will find lots of planning information on this site. Make sure you go to www.allearsnet.com also. Where will you be staying? Do you have any questions we can help you with? It must be exciting to plan your first trip!! :wizard:

Hi Carrie! Feel free to ask any questions you may have about your upcoming trip. Tons of experts on this thread!

Hope everyone is well and that the health problems have been resolved. With summer finally here it sure isn't any fun to be ill.

On a personal note, could I have some prayers and pixie dust please? DH interviewed for a job this week that we're hoping will come through. It's been very tough with both of us not working. Thankfully, we haven't killed each other yet!

Enjoy the weekend everyone!

Absolutely! P&PD on the way!! :tinker: My DH's company closed this winter without any notice, so he had to get another job too. Luckily, it worked out pretty well, but it is a hard situation to be in. Good luck, hope something comes along soon!! pixiedust:

Carrie,

OH we loved it when we stayed at the Grand and you will too...Have you booked any character meals yet????Must do them they are great!!!!

Huey, Duey and Luey(?sp) I saw the picture of your triplets in front of the Magic in another post and I loved it!! Please post so everyone here can see it!!

Kritter,

I checked with Dh and we are doing breakfast with Cinderella, Cinderella's gala feast, a princess tea party, Donald's breakfastosaurus and princess storybook dining. I'm really not sure how many of these will have the characters, but I have heard about the Cinderella breakfast before. I thought that one would be pretty pricey, but it seems pretty reasonable for that character meal. Do you think so too?

I know I haven't been here for a couple of months (I think???) but it has been really hectic. My twins just turned one this weekend...that was a blast! They both did really well considering they were sick.

Anyway, since this is a multiples thread, I have a question. How much does everyone pay a babysitter? I have had my sister babysit for them but she is unable to when I need her this time. My cousin is going to watch them but she doesn't know how much to charge (she's 14).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Hope everyone is doing well!

Here in central NJ the average rate seems to be about $10/hr based on my experience and what I hear from other moms. Maybe for a younger sitter during daytime hours you could do a little less. I'm fortunate enough to have family close by who love to watch our kids but on occasion I will have my friend's daughter babysit - she is 16. To babysit for our 4 kids I always give her $10/hr.

Just checking in - I posted for the first time on this thread a few weeks ago. I have 13 month old triplets and live in NJ.

I hope all job interviews went well and that everyone's health is good.

Does anyone have any experience bringing crawling/walking multiples to the beach? We live about a mile from the beach and are intending on going quite a bit this summer since dh and I love it so much....I am wondering what we are in for and how many reinforcements we should coax into coming with us?

Oh, I just read the link posted above about the little boy who passed away. That is just terrible. God bless his parents and siblings. I can't imagine losing one of my little ones.

flipflop, we also live about a mile from the beach. For a long time I would only go with DH because it really took two of us to keep our twins safe. They would never sit still, plus they had no fear of the water and we have a bad undertow in this area. I tried going by myself with them and it just wasn't fun at all. I don't know how it would be with triplets, whether two could handle the job or if you'd need three. I'd say having three adults - each in charge of one child - would make it a more pleasant (and safe) outing. ;)

Let us know how it goes! :beach:

HI all Just checking in....Hope everyone is well...

Just an FYI based on my experience. My niece babysits for my grandkids. She usually gets $5 per hour (for a 3 yr old and a 1-1/2 yr old). I thought I would just put in our info since we are in the middle of the country the way you are. I think are prices must be lower than on the east or west coasts.
