Traveling with another DVC family

What would be the best way to combine points for a reservation? Assume different home resorts, different UY, but for a reservation only two months out. Thanks!

The simplest would be to reserve a portion from each account and link them without transfers. That does create some issues for DDP and dining reservations, but not that much. The alternative would be to transfer and reserve all under one account.

If the trip covers both weekday and weekend nights, I think I'd do a transfer, assuming you each want to pay exactly half the points.

If a point imbalance is OK, then each reserving a few nights would be the easiest.

Friends and I have done it three different ways:

1. Transfer
2. We each made a reservation and then linked them. This worked out
as MS was able to link them and we did not have to move (or even
check out and check back in)
3. We took turns making the reservation (same time each year). One year
they made the reservation and the next I did.
