i have a 4 cup coffee pot i bought for disney. i read on tsa.gov that it is best to put it in your carry on. to avoid extra work for tsa, a longer wait for other guests and me standing there forever, how should i pack and wrap it so that i can protect the glass, but not have the bag going through the xray be a lot of extra work for anybody?

yes, i know there are coffee pots in their rooms. i dont use them

We travel with a mini Keurig in our checked luggage with no issues. That we know of at least.

I’m the crazy person brings my nutra bullet in my carryon. I have never had a tsa person question it before.
You could always put the coffee maker itself in your suitcase and only put the craft in your carryon.

If this one does brake, I have a 4 cup Cuisinart that I bring to Vegas and the craft is stainless steel that works great.

the box is so huge. so perhaps if i take it out and put it in the luggage and just carry the carafe it should be easier

Depending on what else is in your carry-on you can probably just get by with wrapping it with paper. If it is things books, magazines, clothing, small toiletries then paper would work and not necessarily needed. If there are hard edged items then one layer of plastic wrap might be in order.
