Traveling with a large group and using Mears Shuttle Car

I am traveling with a group of 12 and when the time comes think I am going to book Mears Shuttle Service. If I remember corectly from when I went with my family they take you directly to your hotel from the airport. Plus they hold a lot pf people so I think it would be the best. The only thing that bugs me about Mears is ot takes like an hour for them to get there for you at the aiport...they are never on time.

If anyone can suggest a better means of transportation for such a large group let me know. Thanks.

Also how many people do a Mears Shuttle Car hold.

I haven't had any problems with Mears not being on time-when I arrive they always have a shuttle there waiting. The only problem was that we sometimes ha to wait for it to be filled to capacity before it left, but since you would take up the whole van that wouldn't be an issue. I would check into their pricing for renting a whole van, since I know if you did it individually it would cost a fortune. Compare their group rate with that of town car services (we've been using Tiffany Town Car and have always had great experiences with them). Town cars have vans too and they might be cheaper than Mears.

For 12 people, I would also consider either Tiffany Towncar or Happy Limos. They are waiting specifically for your party at the bottom of the escalator, assist with luggage, and take you directly to your hotel. Also when it's time to return to the airport they are there at a pre-arranged time and take only your party, directly without any other stops. They will also make a brief grocery stop if requested. I think you will find that it will also be alot less expensive. They have very large passenger vans. We have used Tiffany Towncars vans on several occasions and have always been pleased.

I've been told that Tiffany Towncar will send a van for around $100, where Mears charges per person (around $30/pp), so you'd be better off with Tiffany towncar if my numbers are accurate.

We used Tiffany for 11 people. We had enough room for everyone and luggage. If you take Mears it will cost over $300 for all of you. A van from Tiffany will cost $95 round trip with coupon. Add in a $10 to $15 each way for a tip. Now your looking at about $11/ person. Compare that to $26 for Mears.

I would highly recommend a van from Tiffany. We have used them many times and had great service. I would naver use Mears after using Tiffany.

We have always preferred to use FL Tours for our transportation. Andy is a wonderful guy who will see to it you are taken care of.

FL Tours is the official transportation company of the DIS and by using them we are supporting these boards. I know that I would be lost when it comes to my Disney planning without these boards.
