We will be making a sort trip in Aug with my 3 yr old dd and my son who will turn 3 months the day we arrive.

I am bringing my double stroller for the parks and stuff . I know my dd will want to ride on occasion and the extra room will be great to hold stuff.

My main question is what do you do when you are eating? Most of the restaurants do not have enough room for the strollers in them . For the life of me I cannot remember if they are sitting up at that age or not.

Also, I am nursing and have you found any out of the way areas in Epcot, MGM and Mk that are good for nursing?

If you have any other helpful hints I would love them. Thanks for the help.

We did take our stroller in most restaurants, but it was a single. I doubt if there would be room for a double though unless it was at a counter service. I know some of the restaurants have reclining high chairs that will hold a baby that small. Most of them, though, are just the wooden booster-seat type. I really don't think he will be sitting at that age. Do you happen to have a carseat that attaches to your stroller that you could take in?

All of the parks have baby stations with nursing areas and rocking chairs. Most of the out of the way places I used to nurse seem to have been turned into smoking areas. There are still a few, though, especially in the countries at Epcot. If you keep your eyes peeled I'm sure you'll spot some places. I also used to nurse on the "dark rides" at the parks. We always to joke that Spaceship Earth was DS favorite place to eat.

I would carry plenty of water to keep both you and the baby hydrated, especially since you are nursing!

We have been there with a little one a couple of times. If your double is front to back, then some restaraunts will let you take them in, especially if they are sleeping. Some restaraunts have the car seat high chairs, i.e. Chef Mickey's. When all else failed we held them. Also take advantage of the Baby stations. There is one in each park. It may be a loing walk from where you are, but they are wonderful. Since you will be there in Aug, it will be nice to be in an airconditioned area to feed. In fact one of mine would not nurse if they were hot. So this was really nice. In a couple of the stations, can't remember all of them sorry, but they even have a TV area for the bigger kids to sit while mom is feeding. Also a good place to nurse are on some of the dark rides, along with in some of the shows. Hope that helps a little. Have a great time!!:bounce:

The first time we went to WDW, our oldest daughter was only 3 and we had a 3mth old. We had a double stroller, and it worked out just fine. You won't have a problem with it at all. About the nursing stations I don't have a clue.

Have a nice trip!:bounce:

A 3 month old cannot sit up in a high chair yet. Even at 6 months our son was a little small for the wooden ones with no back.

Maybe you could bring a single reclining stroller plus a soft front carrier for the little one. We have a baby bjorn & our 8 month old loves it. It is good because when you go on rides you can keep the baby in there, even if he's sleeping. You don't have to take him out of the stroller. And it will be much easier to get around without a double stroller!

Evenflo makes a really nice carrier with storage packets & a toy or pacifier holder.

Ds was 5 mo old on his first visit. I really liked the baby care station at MK, it's by the Crystal Palace, and very nicely themed. My then 3 yr old liked the one at EPCOT, it had a big room with stuffed toys, tables to draw at etc. The one at MGM was not especially nice (up front by guest services) but it was servicable. AK was not yet open at this time. The day we were at MK, another Mom and I kept meeting every two hours in the nursing area, our babies were on the same schedule! We saw each other four times.

My son is 3 months old today and we were there last weekend - he can not hold his head up yet, so a reclining stroller is necessary. We wouldn't even thnk about trying to use a high chair or booster seat. We held him or kept him in his reclining stroller all day. We always do counter service so I can't tell you about the more expensive restaurants. I saw a lot of graco duo strollers, and they were huge - took up way too much room and I can't imagine trying to fit it into any place with a lot of traffic.

A front carrier might work but it is way too hot for a baby to stay in it long up against a hot parent body. We live in Florida so I see the effects of the heat on my son every day - he is cranky, sweaty, and miserable - bring a lot of sleeveless outfits, sunsuits, and cotton clothing only.

I found a reclining umbrella stroller with a canopy. It worked very well. I also made a canopy out of 3 cloth diapers to go over the stroller canopy to keep out the sun because my son't eyes are really sensitive and he won't even open them while he is outside yet.

We hit baby stations at AK and MK and I liked the one at AK better because it was more centrally located because of the small size of the park, but the MK one was nice as well. The best thing about them is the free cold Zepherhills water! I was so grateful to be able to drink my fill while my husband fed the baby -

If you've never been in a Unisex bathroom, a la Ally McBeal, before you have the opportunity at the MK baby center. What a weird thing. Family bathrooms I have seen before and I think they are great, but I have personally never been in a stall when a member of the opposite sex came in! :)

Thanks everyone for your replies.

I am hoping some of the restaurants have reclining high chairs. I know at 3 months they arent holding their heads up. I had a mommy brain moment when I posted. :)

I have a sling but it will most likely be to hot to use it.We will have a great time and adjust when we are eating to whatever needs to be done.
