Traveling to WL from PO-FQ

We are staying at PO-FQ in November and have arrangements for dinner at WL. We are not renting a car and using Disney bus transporation. I have heard that the bus transportation to/from WL is terrible. Would I be wise to visit another hotel for dinner and skip going to WL?

That shouldn't be too hard. Just ride a bus to MK, then get the boat to WL. If it's late and the MK is closed when you're ready to return to PO, catch a bus to DD and then get a bus or the boat to PO.
