Hi you crazy person - Beaches and Cream it is for you!

Pad Thai - what we do is buy the rice noodles in the grocery store and everywhere is starting to carry them - you follow the directions and soak them for five minutes in boiling hot water you have removed from the stove. At the same time you are cooking scrambled eggs and sauteeing the shrimp (separate pans) - we buy ours pre-cooked and shelled with a spice on tem at BJ's. My husband has our son mashing peanuts to the side in a ziplock bag - keeps him totally occupied for long periods of time. You then transfer everything to the same large saute pan and then mix in the packets or jars of store bought Pad Thai sauce. We also add about three tablespoons of peanut butter to the mix to really kick up the peanut taste. You then add bean sprouts and shallots if you want.

You now can buy the packets of Pad Thai sauce and jars of it at most grocery stores. It may sound like a lot of steps but my husband puts it together so its pretty easy. Any true Thais are probably gagging right now because its so unauthentic but we love getting Pad Thai out at restaurants and we can come pretty close to the same taste at home.

I think we all know where MOM is staying now!

If you buy the packets of the sauce they have instructions on how to make Pad Thai on them - with a lot clearer of instructions than I am capable of giving. We can also get whole kits that have the noodles and sauce in them at BJ's.

CONGRATULATIONS, CASTLEGAZER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :)

And lots of happiness to you and your family! :)

Hi Everyone!

Boy, you all sure are making me hungry with all this talk of great food! So, what's the plan for tonight? Hope that you don't mind if we Suite folks tag along! Perhaps you'd all consider ending the evening with a chartered cruise on Bay Lake? Just meet us at the EWP Suite Marina when you've all finished with your evening adventures............we can arrange for some more of those coolers to be hiding under the boat's seats! :)

Thank you IASW Rider. We have already been discussing leaving open our time for the EWP Group tonight - coolers under the seats you say - oooh, I might have to share them this time around.

(IRL I have to go home now I have Pad Thai to make and I probably won't be making a rare nightime appearance tonight as I really need to get a move on my scrapbooking homework or else I will have the cooking and scrapping board after my scalp - so I leave the partying tonight to everyone else).

Yum!!! I knew I was going to like BW. No way am I going over to pick out a color. that is way above my head technically!!!! Nope, this is my spot. And Beaches and Cream...who's up to a Kitchen Sink??? Come on, you know you wanna!!!

goofy4tink just a word of caution, a Kitchen Sink will only feed 2 or 3 people max.. so we can get a bunch for all of us... and maybe a few NO WAY JOSE"S for the chocolate purist in the crowd..

BTW castlegazer and edcrbnsoul picked a color.. it really is easy.. take a boat to the Island and check it out..

Dinner at Spoodles followed by dessert sounds good to me. I'm starving :)

And Jellyrolls is definitely the place to be tonight. I'll have to speak to my connections at the bar to make arrangements for some special surprises for everyone tonight. Doors open at 7:00, pianos start at 8:00. We should get there by 8:00 so we can get a table down front. Tommy and Jace will be on at 8:00, my boys Scotty and Ray start at 9:00.

Looking forward to this :)

I'm going to dive into my plate of food now.

Karen

I am ready to go.. where shall we meet?? Hello??

I've been sitting here in Jellyrolls for the past hour by myself waiting for everyone. Saved us some tables in the front row. Tommy and Jace have been giving me a hard time, and I've already eaten an entire basket of over salted popcorn myself. Where is everyone?

Karen

Glad you made it, Ed. I have a special surprise for you. It pays to tip the piano players at Jellyrolls well. Wait to you see what I have instore for you, but I'm going to make you wait a little longer.

Everyone sing along. Why do you build me up buttercup.

Karen
