Travelers check?

Does anyone know if they cash travelers checks onboard?
thanks :flower:
I don't know about traveler's checks specifically but I know that the limit for personal checks (per cruise) is $100. I would imagine it's the same for both, if they take them.

With 2700 passengers, I guess I can understand why they want to limit the cash they need to have available! I'm surprised there wasn't a Brinks truck parked at the dock. :-)

The ship did cash traveler's check's when we sailed in September 2004. You can call DCL and they can confirm whether they still do or not.
Happy sailing!

Always saw folks lined up to cash travelers checks at Guest Services.
Another alternative for kids is a VISA BUXX card. It's a debit type card that you preload with cash and can be reloaded online. Got one for my son when he went on a school trip to Europe. He just went to any atm and got Euros when he needed them. Fun being back home and being able to track his spending.

American Express is running a promo if you purchase $1,000.00 in American Express travelers checks you get one free companion air ticket....saw it the other day at our bank.

Oh? What bank may I ask? That would be worth pre-buying them now (they never expire, right?) so you could get a free airline ticket. Wonder what airlines and if you have to use it in a specific time frame? :confused3
