Travel Weather Scenario

After listening to the podcast the other day about trip insurance this scenario came to mind.

Travelling from up north to WDW in January for a 7 night DVC stay. The flight/all flights are cancelled due to weather.
Next flight leaves the following day.
How does DVC handle this when you arrive the following day?

Remember you used your points for a week stay

I believe they will sometimes handle it on a case by case basis but if you call them to let them know you won't be checking in until the next day then they should not just treat your reservation as a no show. They would not be able to add a day onto the end of your stay though (to make it a complete week) unless you wanted to use extra points and they had room available.

According to our POS if you don't show up for your reservation you loose all points associated with it.
